Pretty sure he's not planning on taking that shot. Ward has the right style to beat Kovalev but I can't help but notice how he slows down late. He'll need to slow Kovalev down even more so or things could get hairy for him.

Well Kov showed us against Hopkins and Pascal the second time that he can fight very tactically. Some people are expecting this to be a barnburner, which is absurd to me. I expect the mid rounds to get somewhat action packed because both fighters would have figured out the distance by then, but it's going to be a tactical fight that will probably go the distance

Pascal is an athlete, never was a tactical guy but he was landing those counter left hooks when ever he threw them and his wide right hands

Ward throws shorter, neater shots and doesnt fight in spurts like those two

I see it going the full 12 as well.

The pace will be pretty slow...I think Kov will press early, and once he cant take him out, Ward will have picked up enough points to win a close but clear decision

it'll be competitive the whole way through...no domination by either guy if they win
