I understand that American people aren't familiar with Frampton. Here in Europe is a pretty big name.

I called 50/50 the entire time, said I was not sure so I don't think I ever picked but yeah the bias stuff and being Anti Someone because their not from your country or from your part of the world is absolutely SILLY

If you "Never Seen Frampton" then why the *** are you picking against him, this happens a lot on this forum it is flat out IGNORANCE! If I don't know enough about a fighter I just don't pick. But how have you not seen Frampton but call yourself a "Boxing Fan"

I'm in the US and I seen Frampton 4-5 Times before he came and fought in the US the first time! Seen him vs Kiko Martinez, Cazares and Avalos and my first time watching him I think it was undercard of Froch vs Bute? Don't remember the guy name. With youtube and Daily Motion, it is really no excuse of "Never seeing a guy fight"

Frampton is the real deal and deserves a stop in most if not all Top 10 P4P Rankings with that performance but overall the Resume is damn good: Kiko Martinez (when Kiko was very solid), Quigg, Aveoles

I was backing frampton but I could see why people pick against him. Leo had the reach advantage and was the champion at a new weight class.

Don't make a federal case out of it. I am an American fan and I only saw Frampton's last two fights before he fought Santa Cruz. In his American debut he was knocked on his ass twice by an unknown and unranked boxer. Then he fought a dull fight with little action or hard punches thrown or landed. I saw nothing in those to fights to make me think he could beat Santa Cruz. Then he fought Santa Cruz at 126 pounds and looked great and deserved the win so now I am a Frampton fan. He fights better and hits harder at 126 as he himself said. Like most boxing fans, British or American, I go by what I see in the ring. That's all I can do.I watch all the boxing I can but they don't show Irish boxers to USA fans until they are stars.

Just because many American fans picked Santa Cruz doesn't mean we were "sleeping on" Frampton. Most of us recognized this as a near 50/50 fight.

Frampton was moving up in weight. Santa Cruz had the height and reach advantage. I don't see how it was a stretch to acknowledge Frampton while still picking Santa Cruz.

You're being as bad as the Crawford fans last weekend who AFTER the fight said Crawford was "obviously" "always" going to win in a blowout and everyone was ignorant to think otherwise.

But even on the European betting sites, Frampton was a pretty big 'dog, and LSC a big favorite. Like I said, you could get Frampton as much as +400, and Cruz was as high as -350.

I have no idea what Cruz's dad was talking about telling Santa Cruz to box and use movement. Since when has Cruz been a boxer/counter puncher, never! He is a strait ahead volume pressure fighter.

It just goes to show that Cruz-Haymon era in Cruz's career has only stunted and probably regressed his evolution as a fighter. Since he has been with Haymon he has fought only bums and he has only fought 5 times before the Frampton fight and 4 of those were against bums and the one good fight was against a broken Mares.

The Santa Cruz that was with Golden Boy was fighting better quality competition and improving with each fight. He was being brought along well and had a bright future. The GBP Santa Cruz would of beat Frampton.

His lack of quality fights and lack of rds showed in the Frampton fight. He was tired and he was hesitant and his timing was off all of which happen to Haymon fighters because they fight so rarely and when they do they fight bums.

Why did so many of you pick Santa Cruz without knowing anything about Frampton and in a lot of cases I see many of you hadn't even seen him fight. You are supposed to be hardcore boxing fans.

I don't get this attitude at all, I always do my research on fighters, especially when a lot of fans are talking highly of a particular fighter. It feels like a lot of you stereotype fighters, and I saw a lot of comments dismissing Frampton as a soft touch. In the build up it felt like a lot of American fans didn't believe that a white/Irish fighter could be a slick elite level boxer puncher. Thats the way it came across.

This guy is a complete fighter, he can punch, he can box, and he can brawl when he needs or wants to, some of the things he was doing last night were unbelievable and he had so much more variety than Santa Cruz, he was using pull-counters, up-jabs, check left hook was landing all night, this guy has got great variety.

What on earth does being from the USA have to do with being ignorant about Frampton or vica versa? I am from California and I was a Fury fan before most Brits on this site.

I also was never a big LSC fan.

Red K worthy post for being a moron.

If you live by the NSB sword you've picked your own poison. Stop living in the world of forums where every fighter is great if they win or either shot or overhyped if they lose.

Frampton made a fan out of me for finally beating the worst paper champion in the sport, leo santa cruz. Talk about protected hand picked fights... But he is he is still ducking Rigondeaux like his life depends on it. They all are.

That is what was sad about the night, it was two guys who ran from rigondeaux fighting each other.
