    Stop sleeping on Stevenson

I just watched his fight with Williams Jr, didn't even realise it was going to happen, which I guess is the problem when you lose out on fights against Pascal, Hopkins and Kovalev but what a fight.

It's right up there alongside LSC/Frampton, Vargas/Salido, Rod/Williams and Thurman/Porter as one of the best fights of 2016. These were 2 seriously big man throwing seriously lethal punches.

Stevenson is the best one punch KO artist in the sport today. I just hope he fights one of the top dogs sooner rather than later.

Without being disrespectful, because I respect the fact he comes to fight, Williams Jr is not particularly good.

He was dominated and stopped by Campillo, a guy Kovalev wrecked in 3 rounds.

He went life and death with Cornelius White, a guy Kovalev wrecked in 3 rounds.

He only just came out the right side of a shootout with Rodriguez.

Adonis has a big left hand, but it only really works on LHWs with a vulnerable chin like Dawson, Williams Jr, Karpency, Sukhotsky etc.

Stevenson knocking over weaker opposition and appearing better than he is, is exactly the impression Haymon wants to create by making the match-ups but it's an illusion.

Anyone think he does it to Hopkins, Beterbiev, pre-Kova Pascal? nope, and that's why he is kept out of their way.

I can't see Stevenson lasting 12 rounds against Kovalev.

I have a feeling Ward would dominate and even stop Stevenson late as well.

hes on one of the worst title runs ever and thats why his purses are dropping, his attendance numbers are dropping, and his viewers are dropping. he doesn't care though because he's still making pretty good money and not losing is winning and makes him feel like a big shot.

I agree with this 100%. While Stevenson has a great punch in his left hand I would debate that he is the best one punch KO artist in boxing. Beterbiev, Wilder, Joshua, GGG and Kovalev all have a higher KO percentage and they often get the KO with one or two big punches that land right. Stevenson almost always gets the job done with the left hand. The others can take guys out with either hand.

It was a good fight but far too one sided to rank with the other fights you compared it to. Williams Jr. landed some good punches that hurt Stevenson but I think he clearly lost every round. Williams Jr. is not a top 10 contender. Boxrec had him at 14th going into the fight,

Stevenson does and should get alot of flack for not fighting Kovalev , Pascal or even Bute . And Yes his opponent wasn't necessarily Elite level competition . And to u posters that want to get personal Yes he does have a Shady past ... But Damn that was a Fun fight !!!
