Stop sleeping on Stevenson

Stevenson looks 10 years younger than Kovalev.

But he isn't though.

Some of you are under the impression that I rank Williams as some highly touted contender, which I don't and I have never mentioned that.

However, this thread has 2 points:

1. This was a damn good fight, all action, 2 big guys throwing some serious leather and chin checking each other. Stevenson proved he was solid against a solid puncher. Often the best fights are the ones when you don't expect someone to be competitive.

2. Stevenson is one of the top punchers in the sport and we forget that and for almost half a decade he has one punch KOd almost everyone he has faced. On top of that, we have to remember this is a career super middle who moved up to light heavy as a massive underdog and now has become one of the leading fighters (and most feared) in the sport.

Stevenson stepped away from Hopkins and Pascal for odd reasons and then had Kovalev drop out of the purse bid. Some is his fault, some isn't. That said, Stevenson is a top light heavyweight and if he gets a big win over the winner of Kov/Ward will go down as THE light heavy of his generation.
