It really doesn't matter to me who he fights as long as he fights often. If a fight with Berto takes that much time to make, then we can expect a fight with Thurman will take 2 years to make. And people are wondering why this sport is dying.

maybe because he is a world champion and is getting handsomely paid? so the fans demand for him and others champions like thurman to fight the best and not the salkas of the world

Gimme a break. The fans don't even wanna admit that Garcia already has a stellar resume. The Thurman fight isn't happening this year. Never was. Thurman may not even fight again this year after that rough and tumble affair he just had and given that it occured at the midway point of 2016. And it doesn't take a genius to see that Thurman-Garcia is being set-up for next year. So why are we b*tching? Because Garcia is taking a showcase fight to build up the hype? Well then by all means.

Yup! Seems like Garcia always fight up or DOWN to what's put in front of him. Twice he was a huge underdog. And WON a few times he was a huge favorite and should of lost. I give up on trying to figure him out.

The problem I have isn't with Berto really. It's with a guy losing all rounds to a boxer and then beating a washed up Ortiz.

Guerrero was a damn good fight. Maybe you missed it. Kinda like all his other fights against top opponents.

since beating matthysse he has done nothing. that was september 2013, he would fight thurman "potentially" next year.

seriously, do you really think that was a good fight? and how in the hell was guerrero granted a title shot??

Yeah I thought Garcia-Guerrero was a good fight. One of the best this year, in case you missed it. It was a good matchup. A solid, strong, experienced welter who would test Garcia's intestinal fortitude. Go figure.

As far as how was Guerrero handed a shot at a vacant title, that's irrelevant. You blaming Garcia for that too? You're all over the place.

I don't agree that Garcia has done "nothing" since Matthysse. Peterson was a solid opponent, Guerrero was a solid opponent, Herrera was a solid opponent. That's to go along with Matthysse and Khan. Yet you bash him for not fighting Thurman, whose best win was Guerrero up until two months ago. Go on.
