It's flat out ******ed and illogical.

Floyd started his career weighing less than 130 lbs and in his 5th weight class weighs in at 150-151.

Golovkin has spent his entire career at 160 lbs and comes to the ring at 170 lbs.

It's nothing alike to Mayweather and Pacquaio who at the same age were consistently the same weight both officially and unofficially.

Hatton had already lost to Mayweather by KO a year earlier, Dela Hoya was coming down 7 lbs to fight at a weight he never made in 8 years and almost died in the process.

Ledwaba was a legit win but he ain't no HOFer in my book, he was a solid champion that was favored against Pacquiao because nobody knew Pacquiao at the time, but still it was a very good win, the Barrera fights to me are the clean cut defining wins of Pacquiao's career since Barrera was on a winning streak and even though people made excuses for Barrera, Pacquiao fought and beat him again.

Naz retired at the peak of his popularity which was in 2001, by 2001 Floyd had been the 130 lbs champ for 3 years and he called out Prince Naseem on a number of occasions, he said he was willing to fight naz at 128 catchweight and Naz dismissed him, that was right before he fought Barrera. At 135 and 140 he called out Dela Hoya and Mosley (2003-2004) and wanted to fight them at 147 or 154 and he got dismissed, even after Shane beat Vargas in 2006 and was asked about a fight with Mayweather he preferred to go on vacation and to get his tooth fixed. Shane's dad also shut down negotiations with the mayweather camp in 99 when a potential 135 lbs fight was being discussed, he said these 2 should fight in the future to make more money. Kostya Tszyu didn't want it, Hatton refused to fight him in USA when they were both at 140 and wanted him to go to the UK to get shafted like Kostya Tszyu.

      FACTZ.

      I approve of this post.

It's madness at this point. I can't even fathom being upset over the outcome of a sporting event for more than a week or two. Even then it would just be disappointment. May 2nd legitimately traumatized a dozen or so Pac fans on here.

        • Didn't Roach just say he doesn't want Crawford because he's like a young Floyd?

          • funny how posters are still ignoring that the fight didn't happen in 2009 because pac mang turned down the same test he took in 2015... but hey its life, I don't agree with everything Floyd does but this is a fact.

            • Pac man didn't fight nate Campbell, zahir raheem, Vasquez, mark 2 sharp Johnson and a few other fights he could have fought so please miss me with this notion that pac took on every hard fight he could

              • kellerman why dont you shut the **** up you little dork. Was stepping up and fighting an unbeaten canelo a safe fight? Lots of people tipped him to lose that. Fought the fighter of the decade, was that a safe fight? Fought mosley not long after he annihilated margarito. Is cotto really a safe fight? De la hoya a safe fight? Maidana has the power to knock anyone out, destroyed adrian broner who was boxings hottest property, yeah what a safe fight that was. These are all top top fighters he fought, unfortunately for clowns like you he got through all them fighters just fine. Yes he fought berto in his last fight, pacquiaos fought ****ing rios algieri and bradley recently (not that bradleys not a top fighter but pac obviously knew he could beat him already after the first fight). Look at any of the top fighters and they havent fought killers every single fight. Like most people you didnt like floyd because of his personality (fair enough) but you are meant to be a professional, shouldnt let that cloud your judgement of his career

                • Mayweather took his share of high risk fights. If he didn't have a number of very good wins to his credit he wouldn't be as highly regarded as he is.
