he's been boxing for about 10 years now. most of the top fighters on the planet have been boxing since they were kids. wilder started when he was 20, and damn near a grown man.

i actually think he's a coordinated athlete. certainly more coordinated than tony thompson, or even arreola. being a coordinated athlete and knowning how to manage and coordinate a 6'7" body in a boxing match are different things. it takes men fo that size, a long, ,long time to learn to box, and it's because they have to do so much more "coordinating" than a 5'7" jr welterweight with a foot and a half less reach.

i don't tink a lot of you guys are used to watching HW, frankly. power, jabs, chins, and size rule the division, not head movement, activity, and foot movement, the way you see in smaller weight classes.

Nah. Wilder has catline reflexes compared to Charles Martin. Even his windmills are a thing of beauty when making that comparison.

its sad that nobody sees this as an accomplishment, starting at 20 years old and actually making it far in the sport, that is an accomplishment, not many guys without much armature fights make it far in the sport, fighters like quillen, people are quick to down but for these guys to make it in this sport with little armature background is an accomplishment in itself and rare.

The difference is, everyone is ****ing all over GGG, there's been about 1000 threads about him in the past few weeks, there has been about 2 about wilder.

Wilder get's a pass (because of povetkin?) GGG doesnt.
What about Wilder's 35 other fights? what's the exuse for all of them ?

To be honest with you the state of the HW are the moment is bad enough, Not saying Wilder is sh't or anything but i want to see him get pushed because his resume/opponents are the moment is terrible, he has improved a lot but i can't really gauge his improvements due to the level of the HW candidates, i think he did show us in the bernie fight that he can mix it up a bit but since then meh.... The fight that i thought would show us where he is at in terms of his level was the Povetkin fight but that drug cheat went on to fail a test which means no fight as of now.
