Wilder is the Most uncoordinated Heavyweight Champion of All Time

I have so much trouble watching him because he is called a champion. His arm punches, slaps and lack of balance is the absolute worst I have ever seen. Maybe the idea that we are seeing the end of the sport is true. He is atrocious. Compare him to any and I mean, ANY former heavyweight champion and see if they are as off balance and out of step as he is. This must be the lowest point of the sport if the heavyweight division is any kind of indicator.

Personally, he seems like a nice guy in person and in life, but good lord, he is terrible in the ring. He has a punch but absolutely nothing else. Seriously, this is sad. When he does step up, it's either going to end badly for him or this is the lowest point the sport has ever seen.

The point is dude has size and to his credit is in top shape.

He looks like a lightheavyweight fighting smaller fat lightmiddleweights.

Dudes trouble to land on him because he's 6.7, not because he has Floyd's defense.

Skills pay the bills but boxing is a fight sport, so beating a 6.7 motivated athlete in top shape with a hard punch will take a solid fighter with a solid game plan.

I don't know if Wilder is getting better, it looks more like his opposition is getting worst since the Stiverne fight.

I mean, big tall guys generally have shytty balance and coordination. I'm not hating. Most of the big guys like that of the past did. I won't say that about the Klitschkos or Fury, because obviously, they don't.

This guy, though, is a joke when it comes to balance. I just can't appreciate what he does. A big right hand is great, but damn. Let's see some technique. This is a farce.

Wilder is horrible to watch, his technic is poor, his jab is horrible.

        He's a puncher, not really a boxer.

Comparing him to other big men, Lewis and a prime Wlad would school him, beggining with their jab.

+ that "bomb squad" howling and dances in the ring are mad, classless and pathetic.

He's a tall guy with speed/power and tentacular arms throwing bombs.

He outsizes and outguns his opponents.

He sees all the punch coming so it's very hard for little guys to reduce the distance.
Then he fires back with hard punches.

To Wilders credit, he can see the punches coming, he has decent timing and is in perfect shape.
Dude is Something and to be fair, beating Stiverne wasn't an easy task.

Wish him the best, seems to be a decent guy.
But he's not what I like in boxing.

I can appreciate punchers, but damn it, use more than 2 different punches.

Wilder is a puncher who thinks he's a boxer. He's in for a big surprise when he comes up against someone elite.

He might be. I've certainly criticized him for it. But...
He also might be the most powerful ever, next to Foreman.
He also might have the best HW physique ever.

Redd, I respect your opinion. You know this. But hell, Foreman also had technique, not just power. Can you really say that Wilder would have a chance against a prime Foreman?

I didn't say anything of the sort. Only that, as poor as his coordination is, he also has equally extreme gifts. I just look at life that way, everyone has strengths and weaknesses.
Wilder has some interesting extremes. Incredible strength, reach, physique. Terrible coordination and defensive habits.

I brought up Foreman because he's the one other guy I've seen with that "whoops, I think I killed him" power. He's certainly not a prime Foreman, but that's ok.

No, I know you didn't make the comparison. He does have great power. It's just that I've seen lots of guys with great power who got exposed with a lot more gifts besides the power than Wilder has. I knew Arreola was washed up and had been beaten down plenty of times before. He got a shot out of convenience. This was going to be a walk through from the beginning. The other three defenses were also soft touches and Szpilka made him look pretty bad and he's nothing. I don't know. It just seems like one lone string of protections. I really thin if he had to fight, Fury, Klitschko or Fury or Ortiz, it's over unless he gets lucky. Personally, I think Chris Byrd would school him. I may not go so far as to see Ruiz beating him, but honestly it wouldn't shock me.
