I wasn't for him moving up either but to get a real fight, I think he'll have to. It's a sad commentary, but this is the hand he's been dealt. So I think moving up and fighting the bigger boys will build up his name and show people that he will fight the best even if those at his current weight run from him.
it looks like k2 and hbo are padding his record and waiting to cash out

I dont see any risks being taken any time soon......they unifying doe!!! well collecting belts..he only fought for one of them.

when we say the underlined part, his damage control gets upset...i dont get it...its not like its some outrageous request....its not expecting more from him than anyone else

its been 3 years...same thing....they gotta start taking some responsibilty

everyone cant possibly be scared or pricing themselves out

its a little deeper than that...k2 and hbo have a plan to build him into a star

what they dont realize is hard core fans are not gullible. we have to see a fighter tested to believe they are great. all the hype and mismatches in the world wont convince someone with common sense

to become a star it takes a certain level of competition

Guys are asking GGG for $4mill - certain fans say he should pay them or it's a duck.

Guys are asking SOG for $400k - same fans say it's ok if he doesn't fight them.

While the other top fighters clearly don't want the fight, they could have done better than a welterweight. GGG should have made a fight with Lara, though I don't know if Lara would have been ready for September. Anyway, the fight with Brook sucks.

What's a trip is that some guys on BS insist that there is no such thing as a boxer fearing another boxer. I was trying to reason the logic, saying that maybe they're afraid of what a loss can do to their careers. That's probably true, but wait, aren't these guys FIGHTERS? So what the hell are fighters supposed to do? FIGHT, to see who's the top dog! These sorry bastards who call themselves fighters these days, don't actually want to take a fight that they are not sure they can win. They would rather take some easy BS fight, for as much money as they can get for it. I understand that some people don't want to risk losing and missing out on big paydays, but guess what? That's what fans pay to see! They don't want to drop big $$$ on some cherry-picked, boring ass, BS dancing match or track meet masquerading as a fight. So if you're a fighter, but don't want to actually fight, do the sport a favor and GTFO!

even Dibella admits that there are "network issues" with a GGG-Lara fight, which in plain English means HBO wont buy Lara

And yes, I think the Brook fight is junk, but if its a choice of fighting Brook or sitting out until someone else grows a pair, Id rather he stayed busy, even if its a garbage fight......

So HBO is to blame for the fight not happening?

Fans should 100% blame Golovkin for the awful Brook cherrypick, but at the same time we can't forget that his division is ducking him like few others in the sport can claim.

The man has been ducked by almost everyone worth a damn at MW, and every single MW people are clamoring to see him fight. It's just a fact.
