All the records show he said it in 1981. Maybe he was re-quoted.Last edited by richardt; 07-15-2016, 10:42 AM.Comment

I think we have different interpretations of the word "haunt." What I was saying is that a man who has buried his son is not going go be "haunted" by his own careless, drunken comments made in the context of promoting a fight. So sure, it's a pain in the ass for Arum that he's had to explain that the intention of the comment was comical...but I doubt that kind of thing keeps him up at night.
Thanks for the research tips.Comment

Actually I was thinking the same thing about the interpretation of the word Haunt. Californian's use it more *******ly.I think we have different interpretations of the word "haunt." The real question is how much money could a Pac/Broner fight actually generate? Because if Pac is guaranteed 20mil, how much is going to be leftover for Broner? And if Broner was asking for 10mil to fight Garcia, wouldn't it be a much bigger number for a Pac fight? And it's not just the pay day that would be a reason for Broner to take the Pac fight...it's a chance to improve his brand. I guess fighters are a lot like the stars in the sky: some are bright, & others are dim.Comment
