in 2012.....GGG was an unknown puncher and barely known..... now with a bunch of hype but the thinnest resume in top 3 p4p history...2/3 belts he didint fight for.....fans making up records to inflate his resume even though he didnt fight for the full wba title, and isnt lineal either......cant make this up

Yea, the entire boxing world is hyping the guy. And Canelo, Jacobs, Cotto, Suanders, etc have been ducking him because he's all hype.

Sergio made his name fighting tough fights against guys GGG dominated.

Destroys the top ten MW, or makes top five run for cover.

it not the same situation, they were asking of a possible fight with Sergio...and they said what the political correct person would say(yeah we want that fight but first let me build up my fighter in the US)...nothing else..remember that this was when GGG was just starting with K2 Promotions...so they wanted to build him up...so dont come here trying to tell us how this should have been done...because back then GGG was a no name trying to get fights...

Remember GGG team wants what every team wants...money and exposure...

Get serious. The best way for Golovkin to gain money and exposure would have been to beat the #3 P4P and Lineal Middleweight Champion Sergio Martinez.

When a 30 yr old Champion, that is looking for fame and to unify the division, is asked about facing the recognized #1 boxer and best boxer of the division, "not yet" is only the answer when you know you aren't ready.
