If I'm not mistaken, Golovkin not wanting to face Sergio in 2012 is before Sergio ignoring Golovkin in 2013 and 2014. Furthermore, Golovkin won his first title in 2010 and I'm pretty sure beating Sergio in 2012 would have put him on the map, however his team wasn't ready to take that risk.

Don't believe me....Mike Woods, Golovkin, ESPN, March 2012......Google it.
Ofcourse Canela is still Lineal Middleweight Champ, he dropped down to 154 to avoid losing to Golovkin so he can't lose that title. RING middleweight is by Ring magazine owned by Golden boy promotion, why would they strip their cash cow.

So you admit that Sergio wanted no part with Golovkin after 2012?

Sergio fought 3 times after that March 2012 interview of Golovkin and team. Twice on PPV (JCC JR and Cotto) and once in Argentina against Murray. Are you suggesting that Sergio Martinez was supposed to pass up millions of dollars on 2 PPV paydays and a return to Argentina just to fight unknown, HBO After Dark boxer Gennady Golovkin?

Obviously you do not know the rules for keeping Lineal and/or RING magazine titles:

The Champion loses a fight in the weight class in which he is champion.
The Champion moves to another weight class.
The Champion does not schedule a fight in any weight class for 18 months.
The Champion does not schedule a fight at his championship weight for 18 months (even if he fights at another weight).
The Champion does not schedule a fight with a Top-5 contender from any weight class for two years.
              The Champion retires.
The Champion tests positive for a banned substance.

Simply put, Canelo has about a year and a half since defending his title against Amir Khan to schedule a Middleweight bout against a Top-5 contender in order to retain his Lineal/RING Title.

That idiot alt can't keep his story straight, no wonder you're impressed. First it was his team didn't want the risk of facing Sergio, now Ggg hadn't earned it.
