Having Miguel Cotto as a name is immaculate. He's one of the better skilled fighters and in terms of what he can do, while limited in many ways, is still special and to be respected. Canelo wasn't just gonna batter him. Anytime you see him lose its because he was just pelted by someone who was more amazing than he was. Floyd is Floyd. Margarito has to donate his chin to science and Manny? I look at him losing similarly to how he lost to Austin, just a wrong gameplan. That horrible arse flick jab he kept throwing at Pac was just ******.

Cotto was outboxing him and landing nice shots, but really had no effect on canelo, and when canelo landed, they did have an effect on cotto.
no he's not. he got schooled vs floyd and ducked ggg. oh yea and the other great fighter liam smith we will see how he does

pac was countering cotto's jab with the straight left over and over because he knew cotto had no right hand behind it.

At the same age, canelo wins easy...now, canelo won a somewhat close fight. As for their primes, don't really know canelos prime yet.

That fight showed me Canelo's boxing ability has steadily improved. He is just still a very measured fighter so there are rounds there for the taking. It could he his stamina, could just be the way he likes to fight.

Realistically if Cotto had anything on his right hand at all he could have won the fight, but those right hands he was landing just had no effect at all, while Canelo's stopped Cotto in his tracks. So you have to give Canelo the bulk of the rounds. Arguably 8 of them...

                  I had it a draw

But regardless it's still a great W on Canelos resume

But let's be real if Cotto / Canelo were the same age and size, Cotto beats the brakes off Canelo.

But because Canelo is Oscar 2.0 he's always going to have most of the advantages when he tighten whether it's size, weight, Prime, Judges. That's just the way it is.

Cotto didn't show us Amy new flaw Canelo already has. It just went to show Canelo was easily able to eat Cotto's punches and outbox him, which not very any other fighters can say.

Let's he honest, Canelo didn't need any advantages as he was able to outbox Cotto. Not always, but most of the fight which is why he won. No other reason. Simple as that. Atleast that's how I saw it. Power didn't win him the fight, weight didn't win him the fight... Skill won the fight.
