Yeah before the khan fight i thought it was ridiculous to think pac could beat canelo. Then after seeing glass jaw khan actually give him some trouble was the nail in the coffin. Pac would probably win a UD against him lol

And yeah canelo is just a solid fighter. There is nothing really super great about him. Hes just overall a solid fighter with decent defense and fast hands. No footwork and overrated power

I expected Canelo to KO an old war beaten Cotto.

I thought Cotto won the fight versus Canelo, but I don't think that really "exposes" Alvarez, either. Cotto is an elite fighter, even this late into his career, and he's certainly not done. On any given day, he could still beat the best in the sport.

In my opinion, what the Canelo fight actually proved was how much people continue to underestimate Cotto's abilities, including experts like Dan Rafael. Not everything in life is about wins and losses. Cotto has never stopped being one of the best.

As I've said in the past, Cotto is the equivalent of what the Spurs were in basketball. Spurs may not win every year, but on any given year a championship was possible. They're elite. And, in my opinion, Cotto has been unstoppable since the Rodriguez fight.

I expected Canelo to beat Cotto to beat Canelo easier than he did and probably knock him out. I had Canelo winning by a larger margin than you did. Cotto fought a very smart fight and a very good fight. He is fighting better at 35 with Roach than he was fighting years ago. He came into the fight as the lineal middleweight champ. I don't think Canelo was exposed by defeating him.

Damn, I really screwed that post up. I meant to say I expected Canelo to beat Cotto easier than he did and possibly knock him out. As for a prime Cotto beating a prime Canelo I doubt it. I never saw any Cotto performance I thought was good enough to beat the best Canelo. Just which Cotto fight was his prime performance anyway? He lost to Trout, Pacquiao and Margarito at different stages of his career.

He wouldn't be the combination puncher that he is if he didn't have footwork. Footwork is far more than just movement, foot placement is also important, look at Marquez who seems to be able to let off a counter out of any position that he's in, another great combination puncher too.

How can his power be overrated when no one considers him to be a one punch knock out artist in the first place? All the while his power got dude's freezing up and backpedaling.

I must have been in a coma, but when did Floyd fight a prime Cotto. I remember him fighting a damaged Cotto. But prime Cotto? When did that happen, I missed it.
