When your fighter is scheduled to fight a WW in 8 weeks, you don't talk trash to anyone. You just keep your mouth shut, hope for good health and no flukes, then cash your check after the fight. I don't care if Eubank pissed himself when handed the contract, plan B is NEVER a welterweight for the best middleweight in boxing and the so called baddest man in boxing. You definitely don't talk trash after you crapped on the other guy for doing the same thing at 5 less lbs and your fighter said Brook was too small to fight. Oh and Brook originally asked for a catchweight. So let's not fool ourselves into thinking that HE believes he will be at his best at 160 or that he is virtually the same size as Trip.

        Meanwhile in the Eubank house...

Jr: Dad, we should have taken the fight.. It was great money..

Sr: Jr.. you cannot be as good as me, you have to be better..

Jr: Oh well, give me an opportunity to show that at least I am half as good as you are..

        Sr:

Damn, Eubank was getting a 80-20 split of the UK revenue per Hearn.

This means if Golovkin/Brook is a big success, that if Eubank does move forward taking the Golovkin fight, Golovkin could possibly command parity or majority of the UK revenue with him.

The way I see it, Brook wasnt plan B, or even C. Plan A was Canelo but he handed the belt over to Gennady. Plan B was Jacobs, supposed to been ordered by the WBA, but he suddenly announced he was fighting TBA (later determined to be Mora). Plan C became Eubank Jr, but his dad thought he was Mayweather. So that brings us to plan D. (that is, excluding Saunders from the mix since he priced himself out the fight in January) Golovkin was running out of time to secure the Sept date and had a deal done with Hearn and Matchroom. All it took was to scratch one name out and insert Brook, who has already said he was willing to fight.

Im not a fan of this fight, but we have to understand that time and options were running out, due to the lies told by Alvarez and Eubank Jr.

Poo-Bank Jr thought he could pull a Fraud Pedcheater/Andre coWard sucker-move and duck a fight with unreasonable demands without losing support of the non-consumer fans. Problem is that both Ward and $$$ had already proven themselves before that by legitimately beating top fighters so a lot more people gave them the benefit of doubt. Poo-Bank Jr hasnt done jack and looks like a scared little mark when he street fights. Ive seen it.

(after Brook gets battered and ultimately KOed)

"See, son, that's why I didnt let you fight him"

I will give you Alvarez as plan A since they were actually negotiating but not Jacobs because there were no official talks. Jacobs had a fight lined up when Alvarez vacated in May. So for the past 6 weeks it's been only Eubank? And when did Eubank ask for operational control? Just last week? Did Hearn just blindside Loeffler with news that Eubank wanted more than he was willing to give? Did Hearn offer Callum Smith at 164? Did Loeffler ask?

This happened too cleanly for us all not to be skeptical at the very least.

Oh and my post was about trash talking...which no one from Trips team should do.

... calling him at 154, not at 160, tbh...
