Is it the guy that fought Paul Willams, Martirosyan, Angulo, and Canelo at SWW, or the guy that fought Shawn Porter, Jo Jo Dan, Frankie Gavin, and Kevin Bizier at WW???
Lara has been very quiet lately. Hadn't you noticed that?

Kell brook is a much more credible opponent and more fun to watch too. Imo, if Brook moved up to 154 he would beat Lara, probably inside the distance.

If Brook moved up to 154 and beat Lara, I would agree with you, BUT HE DIDN'T! In fact, Brook hasn't beaten anyone at 154 or 160, and his victories over his last 3 opponents give us no reason to believe that he can compete @ 160, much less defeat the MW Champion of the world. Lara is quiet now, but what good would it do? The contracts are signed. He made noise when he was supposed to, when neither had an opponent, and both were looking for a fight! GGG chose Kell Brook, who he himself said was "too small!"

Money wise, yes, Brook is at the top. So I don't blame either fighter for that aspect of it. But challenge wise... GGG can no longer say he wants the best. He just wants a big pile of cash. Ironic though, since all he had to do was meet Canelo's demand at 155 and they'd have both gotten at or near the biggest paycheck in their respective careers.

But, again, tell me GGG didn't have more choices:

I know that the WBO #1 contender wanted to fight GGG! He's fights out of Brooklyn, coming off a nice KO victory, and he doesn't "run" from anyone...very fan friendly! His promoter, Lou Dibella went public not too long ago:

          http://www.boxingscene.com/avtandil-...ibella--103921

Maybe K2 didn't know about him? Maybe they sent an offer to him and he turned it down, or "outpriced" himself?

Brook is a top fighter... weight means nothing to Floyd or his fan boys remember it's about skills? When it's someone you don't like, then you're quick to point out weight fa66ot

He didn't move up 9 divisions, he did not dominate, and he killed a potential Cotto rematch over the weight..... so yea, I guess it's different when you like the fighter.

September 10, 2016: GGG will face the IBF Welterweight Champion. September 17, 2016: Canelo will face the WBO Super Welterweight Champion. Not a good look for GGG!

And it was Eddie Hearn who made this fight, not K2. Golovkin had agreed terms for Eubank Jnr, and after the Eubanks talked themselves out of the fight, Hearn offered GGG the fight with Brook instead, on exactly the same terms, and Golovkin accepted it.

                    Fixed.....

                    • You golov-clowns are WAKK !

Amir Khan is a recognized superstar who has beaten a number of world-class opponents..... whereas Kell Brook is relatively unknown and has only beaten Porter.

Canelo dragged the superstar Khan up 8lbs for a money-fight..... and Golovkin has dragged the relatively unknown Brook up 13lbs for a non-money fight LMAO

A more obvious cherry-pick cannot be found, and yet you dribblers are actually going to attempt to justify that fight, aren't you?

                      Hilarious !
