you are changing the subject, talking about money and accomplishments. i was responding to what the guy originally said which is a Career Middleweight shouldn't be fighting a "Career Walterweights" which is what Hagler did... did he not? and for the record i completely agree with the Hagler vs. Duran and Hagler vs Sugar Ray fights... and i dont really like the Brook fight but i am pointing out the Hypocrisy.
Canelo and Golovkin are Pulling a Mayweather/Pacquiao

I need to be convinced that somehow Brook was the next best option, I can get why certain options didn't work out and not Golovkin's fault really (although I could spread some blame on his team for not getting the job done time and again eventually that counts no matter how many avoid him).
It is like a poor man's version of Canelo-Khan, because the fight won't sell as good. Brook while an interesting arrogant character has nothing on Khan who literally makes people want to see him get laid out with his mouth and actions and Golovkin is not as big as Canelo. I am sure they can make a bit of money and honestly I would respect Golovkin more if he straight up said it is about the money because he is already 34 and needs to make as much as he can. I can respect that action even if the fight before was lame also, but he needs to fight someone better after.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 07-08-2016, 04:15 PM.Comment
So fighting Leonard for 12 million plus in 1987 was worse? Sugar Ray Leonard? Also, Leonard and Duran won titles at 154 and both were infinitely more accomplished than Brook. Kell has never even fought above 147.
