Sounds like the sort of thing I'd expect to hear from Sr, but I'll wait to hear his side.
Eddie Hearn on GGG vs Brook - and Eubank

The Eubank's will obviously spin this in whichever direction they please, Hearn is a decent promoter, he needs to make fights he cannot wait around for Eubank to find his pen, Golovkin will not wait around forever for them to make up their mind. Just give Brook props and let's have this one.Comment

Eubank jnr needs to get rid of his father
He wants to double the price of the Anthony Joshua-Brezealle tickets and have complete operational control?
Wtf? As much as i Like eubank snr i wonder what planet hes really on.Comment

Wtf are you on about? Eubank snr promoting Brook? What?
Eubank snr post Doran fight (paraphrasing): "we want to make the fight, but we want to renegotiate how PPVs are organised in this country..."
Hearn: "Eubank Snr wanted to control the entire event, wanted higher revenue split between fighter and promoter, wanted to control.ticket prices etc etc i said no, they wouldnt budge"
The timeline also makes sense with Hearn not getting in touch with Eubanks after they missed his deadline, and them complaining about not recieving contract for the last few daysComment

Have to feel like Hearn would've made more from doing Brook-Vargas and GGG-Eubank than just doing this one fight. Doesn't mean Hearn is 100% honest because he's the same as the other promoters, but I don't think he had some big plan to screw over Eubank/Vargas all along.Comment

Eubank Sr. knows the deal. You realize the more others get, the less or challenged acknowledgment Hearn gets. Remember, Arum told Mayweather that double digit millions was not possible...but what do fans know about the saying, "boxing is a business."Wtf are you on about? Eubank snr promoting Brook? What?

Agree it's a garbage fight, but I can see why they'd take this fight. Jacobs doesn't want it, BJS doesn't want it (and apparently has a fight scheduled for Sept), Ramirez got injured, Canelo doesn't want it... Who's left?
Lara? From what has been reported, Lara wanted something like 3M for the fight even though he has no fans himself - which meant GGG would have to pay him out of pocket or try to negotiate with Haymon, while Kell Brook would provide a good payday and nego were easy.
It's an easy business decision, but he'll get no respect if he wins and will lose ALL the respect if he loses.Comment
