And thats fine, Eubank will still make a lot of money. Hes an engaging character who is building a strong brand. The GGG fight didnt really make much sense for him at this stage any way. I think a Lemiux/ Ndam/ Jacobs/ Saunders/ Lee type fight would have made more sense for him at this stage. Though many if those fighters are engages atm.

But in relation to this fight, Hearns story makes more sense and seems more reasonable to me

Yeah but the Eubanks have form. Now they have walked away from a Saunders rematch for big money, walked away from being the mandatory for Jacobs and now lost this GGG fight, all within about 8 months and with different promoters negotiating things.

At some point this pattern has to suggest the blame lies with the Eubank camp.

He already turned down a big offer for the Saunders rematch, and give up his mando position for Jacobs.

So they may make more sense, but he doesn't take the good fights offered to him.

Im sure with the Eubank's involved there is some nutty **** with this falling through, but I suspect the number 1 factor is what Hearn was talking about a few months ago about having more loyalty to the boxers with him vs the boxers who just work with him. And Brook seems to be with Hearn and Eubank just works with him.

Indeed. Personally I think with Eubank Sr., not Jr.

Eubanks speak with fork tongue. Too much mouth action and not enough talking!
I can't wait to hear Khans mouth go off about this. Thinking he was the big show fighting Cowerdo.

It COULD be a decent fight.. Depends if Kell plays the runner well with counters.

That's true and fair. All I'm saying is that people shouldn't start to act like suddenly Hearn is the standard bearer for truth and honesty. I remember that interview Hearn gave when Eubank Jr left Sky to fight for the British title and everyone was calling Hearn a liar and saying they didn't trust what he said. But now that what he says makes GGG look good and Eubank look bad, everyone is suddenly holding Hearn up as the gold standard when it comes to truth.

I agree, i wouldn't usually take Hearn's word as gospel. I think Hearn is being truthful with this scenario though. Simply because Eubank Sr. was saying in a press conference couple of weeks ago about "the first dollar should drop to the fighter", not broadcaster etc. etc.

So those words from Eubank Sr's own mouth basically tie in with what Hearn is saying today about why they couldn't come to an agreement.
