The ref will be forced to keep the rough housing in check on both sides just for the sake of the fight continuing, which means that if Postol ignores the warnings, deductions should follow.
Ok first of all, update your sig. I bet you 1 quint Brook takes GGG past Round 8.

      Second, I agree re: Crawford.

I'm not sold on either guy really as a top level fighter, i'm not saying they're not or won't be, i just haven't really seen any evidence of it. Crawford's opposition hasn't been that great and the best name on Postol's record is Matthysse who has definitely slipped a lot and was totally overrated at one point anyway.

It's a good fight though and the best in the division that can be made.

Still no change of heart here? Can't blame you. I'm also not sold on Crawford yet. But he's a huge favorite out there.

Can't wait to see the result.

I don't want early knockouts. I want a 12 round chess match. I wouldn't even buy the fight if I had sensed an early KO.

            With the O.P on this.

I think Crawford is definitely good but I'm far from sold on him as a top P4P or an elite fighter.

He was made to look ****** by a tiny Gamboa who IMO didn't look all that great himself until his size advantage took over.
Was not impressed vs the chinless Dulorme & he hardly set the world a light against a heavily faded, very basic Burns and Klimov.

Postol has a good height & reach advantage and I feel he is the better, more fundamentally sound boxer. Higher workrate, better engine.
My personal opinion is Postol is better all round.
The only advantage I give Crawford here is a slight edge in handspeed.

            I've got Postol taking this.
Only reason he is a 5/1 underdog is because its in that hellhole Texas.

Postol is a much more fundamentally sound boxer, he's got a much better jab, a sharper, straighter right hand, better defence and he's definitely the more proven out of the two, there are no question marks about him.

I think Postol boxes Crawford's head off and wins a clear decision.
if you think postol is getting a fair decision in this fight you're smoking some good ****. he needs a KO to win, or at least 2-3 knockdowns.

Although I don't want an early KO in this fight and prefer a 12 round chess match, Postol needs it, doesn't matter what round. A close fight would not be in his best interest. This is not Ukraine, this is America. He has to display clear dominance to make the judges decide in his favor.

I give just a slight adventage to Postol. I agree that Crawford is a bit overrated, but he's a very good cerebral fighter. He has the killer instinct. I rewatched Crawford vs Dulorme and Postol vs Matthysse, Crawford seemed a bit better this time then when I watched the fight live, because I realised he was blocking many of the punches I thought Dulorme was landing watching it live, but still no one should wait 6 rounds to figure out an opponent. What worries me about Postol is, although iron chined, he got caught with a couple of shots from Aydin and Matthysse out of nowhere and I feel like he leaves himself open for counters, but I still have him as a slight favorite.

It's a pretty close one with both of fighters having adventages over each other in different departements. I read some trolls acting as if they knew everything, predicting an easy fight for Bud, but in reality this fight is not easy to predict because this is the first time we'll see both of them fighting a top fighter, it especially goes for Crawford. This fight would tell us a lot, meaning we would be able to predict their future fights against the top opponents with more precision, judging by their performance tonight, but it's not easy to predict tonight's fight because there is no compass yet from their previous fights to tell us precisely what is going to happen.
