That's my point. Receiving the same purse shows you how desperate they are for a fight. He's the three title belt holder, #1 in the division and he's getting paid the same as he would over here? Jessie Vargas holds one belt, outside the top 5 in the division, and he's getting paid 3x's more than his highest purse to travel. You know why? Because Top Rank can get him other fights. When you have nothing to offer, and nothing else going on, you have to take what you're given. Which is my whole point. His manager needs to shut up and be grateful someone is offering a payday and a chance to fight on PPV when his fighter can't do the same for anyone else.

His first tweet is him holding up a MW belt.

@GGGBoxing you already know who & what's next. I'm next & your belts are going to be ripped away from you & kept in the UK for a LONG time.

        Motorcity Cobra,

GGG seems to rustle your jimmies, maybe you should step away from the thread. No one should be this upset over something this small.

Use your brains man. Chris Jnr wouldn't even make $300k against Jacobs. He's hoping for 10x that against GGG ... because it's GGG not Danny Jacobs.

Chris Jnr was paid £50k for his last fight, FFS.
If Golovkin could sell out MGM against everybody why hasn't K2 had him fight there? His highest gate was $2 mil against Lemieux at Madison Square Garden with 22,000 in attendance. Mayweather vs. Berto did $10 mil in Vegas with 13,000 in attendance. Cotto vs Canelo did $12 mil with 10,000 in attendance. You can't sell $20 tickets in Vegas that's why GGG has never fought there. GGG's popularity is greatly overrated. People are still overrating it even after the 150,000 fiasco.

              Motorcity Cobra,

It's funny that you say GGG has nothing to offer yet every single boxer would be earning a career high payday vs GGG. Which fight would bring in this most money, GGG V Canelo or Canelo vs Liam Smith?

And if he does travel you better believe he'll bet getting paid a premium purse, worth more than he's ever make, like Vargas is getting paid for his travels. It's about money first and the trinkets are a bonus. Eubank vs Saunders was not selling Wembley. BJS couldn't even sell 10,000 tickets to his last fight against Lee. Saunders can't sell that's why he's coming here to fight on Canelo's undercard. Travelling is for B-sides.
B side, A side has no value when the bell rings & the guys get it on.. If your point is about who is B & who is A side, then I think you & I are in agreement.. You still are missing the point that the A side is ready to make the fight with B side(GGG) because the B side is the road to glory.. YOu might hate GGG or his manager or his team but He is the man at the division. Its not Cotto, not Canelo who may have fat purses but smaller you know what..
I'll say it again, Eubank is in here for his glory & legacy..

I don't particularly want to see Golovkin/Eubank, but it would be really sad if Eubank backed off after all that **** talk. You could never take anything he said seriously again.

Exactly!!!!! It's about the money not the belts. You're finally starting to see what I'm talking about. Do you know how much they would've had to pay Jacobs to travel? Way more than $2 mil. And they knew Jacobs wasnt' travelling thats' why they didn't try to make the fight. They picked the one fighter in the division that's got nothing going on but verbal agreements for the next 15 months. They threw GGG a bone and plan to make a lot of money off of him. Eubank Sr. can make big fights but GGG and his team can't. They need to be more humble. That's why Oscar said take the belt when they started talkin about 160lbs only and a 55-45 split. No thanks, he brings nothing to the table besides trinkets and 150,000 fans.
