It's about money first and the trinkets are a bonus. Eubank vs Saunders was not selling Wembley. BJS couldn't even sell 10,000 tickets to his last fight against Lee. Saunders can't sell that's why he's coming here to fight on Canelo's undercard. Travelling is for B-sides.
You've got it backwards. Having the trinkets leads to the money, not the other way around. How do you think Canelo became the highest draw in the sport?...you think he became popular because he took some moral stance to avoid attaining belts? Get serious. Owning 3 belts is what got Canelo the FMJ fight, which propelled him into stardom. At least admit that.

Jessie Vargas holds one belt, outside the top 5 in the division, and he's getting paid 3x's more than his highest purse to travel. You know why? Because Top Rank can get him other fights. When you have nothing to offer, and nothing else going on, you have to take what you're given. Which is my whole point. His manager needs to shut up and be grateful someone is offering a payday and a chance to fight on PPV when his fighter can't do the same for anyone else.
Once again you are trying to make it seem like Eubank Jr is the A-side here who's throwing the champion GGG a bone. You couldn't be more wrong. You didn't even bother to look at it from GGG's perspective. Eubank Jr. is plan C. GGG is the one who's throwing them a bone. On top of which, K2 does not want to go to their plan D...or heavens forbid, plan E. And this isn't even mentioning the social media fallout that would proceed Eubank Jr if he were to duck GGG at this junction of negotiations.

Should DLH have had to bend backwards for FMJ? Should Mike Tyson have had to bend backwards for Holyfield? Exactly. All Eubank Jr has is a fanbase in the UK. GGG is a world-wide name that attracts crowds anywhere he fights, including on either coast of the U.S. This would be GGG's debut in the UK...& I guarantee boxing fans there are salivating to go watch this. The fact that you would make such a ridiculous statement outs you.
We all know what K2s power is at this point don't we!!? You may find my remarks ridiculous but it's a fact, so deal with it.. I am a Golovkin fan but K2 has failed to secure him big fights when it matters(say now).. Endorsements are all good, but at the end of the day I want GGG to fight the best, if that means heading to their Hoe needs and getting the fights.. Let's not forget every fighter went through that phase - Flyod, Oscar, BHop etc.. So no matter how exciting Golovkin looks knocking the top 10 guys out, he lacks a marquee opponent in his resume and honestly he should go and get it.. Mind you this is coming from a GGG fan and I am saying K2 should go out and get those fights for the guy to showcase his talent.. When was the last time you heard K2 enforcing anything or winning a purse bid..

I could care less if Canelo fight happens or not, because it not a fight that makes GGG the #1 p4p.. So I want K2 to say that to GBP and say later b1tch and move on.. Look at K2s stable.. Except Wlad and GGG, their stable has a bunch of journeymen and both Wlad and GGG are co promoted by their own company too..

Mayweather vs. Berto did $10 mil in Vegas with 13,000 in attendance. Cotto vs Canelo did $12 mil with 10,000 in attendance. You can't sell $20 tickets in Vegas that's why GGG has never fought there. GGG's popularity is greatly overrated. People are still overrating it even after the 150,000 fiasco.
Your argument is weak. If GGG was fighting Canelo, that's in Vegas. If it was against Saunders, probably in the UK. If it was against Jacobs, could be either or. You are clearly trying to downgrade GGG's status by pointing us at figures that involves ppv draw boxers. No one can be compared to FMJ at the moment. And the Canelo/Cotto fight did well because of both boxers having huge fanbases. GGG would be a ppv draw boxer if he could just find a dance partner big enough. Canelo & Cotto were those dance partners...but both ducked. There will never be a way to satisfy you if this is the path you're going to go down. GGG's popularity is thus because of others ducking him...because of his dominance in the ring...& because he's the most talked-about boxer over all boxing forums (I dare you to go to another boxing site & see for yourself). His popularity is right where it should be...& could be more if he can get another ppv event. If you're going to hate GGG, at least hate him for something boxing-related...don't hate him for his popularity. That's high school shyt.

Agree with this. I don't know if Eubank is stalling or not, but this reminiscent of Roach and Pac, in regards to certain fighters. Sure maybe all stuff is signed on Golovkins side, maybe Eubank is stalling, but releasing these statements to the media from Sanchez is sort of, I dunno. . . A bit weird.

What you're asking for is a more aggressive approach. Is GGG even capable of being that guy: going to a fight & getting in the ring to call out the fighter?...insult other boxers on twitter? It would seem totally uncharacteristic of his personality. Additionally, no one can force another boxer to get in the ring. The other boxers have to be willing. In my opinion, social media is the card K2 should play. It is too powerful a tool to ignore. Not just twitter. They should hire a team to blitz the competition...shame them into the taking the GGG challenge. A promotion team is not just about negotiations. I agree that GGG needs a marquee name. I'm not going to go out on a limb & say he needs it now...especially when the big name ran back to 154. And his popularity is reflected by the amount of posts that are about GGG. It's like a ground-swell building speed. What I'm preaching is patience. GGG had years added to his career by not taking that much damage in his fights. And usually, these things have a way of playing out for the best. Patience.

I am not asking GGG to chat **** and be a pu$$y later, he is humble enough like most of the European fighters.. I am asking K2 to go out that extra mile to get a fight.. Wlad paid 50-50 for Haye and just because he wanted to get him in the ring and get his belt.. 15mil was the career highest payday for a punk like Haye.. Who got the title from a big oaf Valuev.. So throw that extra bone or bite a bullet once and throw more money at a fighter and get him.. You have 2 fighters being a whore and demanding more money for fighting GGG, try to deal with it and get them in the ring.. I am not saying that they gotta lose an arm or leg to get the figh, but be smart about it. WBA mandatory is due after Jacobs-Mora, let's see if K2 goes to a purse bid or will they offer more money to Jacobs..

Oh like any fan I want it now because the dude is nearing 35 and may have at max 5yrs left of his high tide..

Way more than $2 mil. And they knew Jacobs wasnt' travelling thats' why they didn't try to make the fight. They picked the one fighter in the division that's got nothing going on but verbal agreements for the next 15 months. They threw GGG a bone and plan to make a lot of money off of him. Eubank Sr. can make big fights but GGG and his team can't. They need to be more humble. That's why Oscar said take the belt when they started talkin about 160lbs only and a 55-45 split. No thanks, he brings nothing to the table besides trinkets and 150,000 fans.
#1, we're talking about Eubank Jr here, not Sr. What big fight has Jr been in to suggest that he can make the big fights (& don't say Saunders because that was before Saunders got the belt. And #2, DLH said they vacated in order to be unbound by a deadline. I don't believe it for one second. But if you're going to give the opposite side the benefit of the doubt, it would suggest that none of this was K2 or Loeffler's fault. How about this to throw you a curve ball?...did you ever think that this fight is getting made for both the money & the belts? GGG wants the biggest payday available, while also defending his belts against a quality opponent. Would it be so hard to believe that getting this fight is about both?

Fair enough. Sometimes drastic measures need implementing. If K2 wants to explore other strategies, they should. More so to give the fights that boxing fans want.
