fck off with the "if ward is the old ward and not rusty" BULL**** , are you making execuses already ? Ward isnt 50 , he had 3 tuneups coming back from a legal dispute not a KO loss , he is sharp , in shape and will come to fight the fight of his life , he wont be rusty he will be WARD and if its not enough then hats of to Kovalev the new P4P king of boxing . great match of boxing !!! CANT WAIT

          Do you honestly believe that?

I mean I think Ward is perfectly capable of winning a UD but it's no walk in a park. Kovalev's engine is ludicrous.. He can throw all 12 no problemo.. Like he showed verse bhop. Kovalev very well can win T/KO and UD.

Kovalev is easily the most fluid power puncher in the sport.

Yes, the ref could be a significant factor in this fight, just like in Wlads fights.
Wlad and Ward both need refs who are on their side to make their style effective. To be fair, Ward did not look that dirty in his last fight against Barrera.
But im sure against Kovalev he needs every (dirty) trick he knows.

                  Johnny Nelson's opinion is worthless.

I'm more concerned about Andre Ward's illegal tactics (deliberate head butts, arm clamps, low blows, etc) than his skills.

The only thing Ward is going to do is make me laugh like a SOB when he announces that he in fact won't be facing Killa Kov next, maybe 2017.

As far as Hopkins, I believe Kovalev knocked him twice in the first and many believe he didnt KO Hopkins out of respect. I dont think he "couldn't" KO 100 year old Hopkins, but that he just "didn't" KO Bernard.
He's INSANE if he thinks Ward is going to KO Kovalev. This is most likely going to go to a decision. With judging being similiar to Porter/Thurman. I think it's going to be a VERY hard fight to score. Depends what you like more...
