Welcome to boxing you obviously don't know how things work, CANELO is the A-Side by a mile next to GGG , mandatory or not , with or without the belt , we explained this even before the Cotto fight was signed. CANELO said he was going to stay at 155 and would fight GGG at 155. GGG tried to play hardball by not budging from 160 hoping for a purse bid where he would get the greatest deal in boxing history & CANELO would end up with the worst deal in boxing history. Facts are facts , your hatred for CANELO doesn't change the facts, once again these are facts not my opinion or something I or anybody made up.!

I don't understand why you're bringing up the weight. Canelo himself said weight wouldn't be an issue and that he would do it at 160. He invited GGG up to the ring and talked a big game but now they've pushed the date back to 2017.

Like I always said, Canelo is OBVIOUSLY doing the exact same thing to Golovkin that Golovkin did to Ward. And anybody who denies that is just a dishonest fanboy clown.....

I agree to the extent that it got the WBC and the mandatory status held by GGG off his back; he then no longer had to fight at 160 and the purse split was now open to negotiation. But clearly the fans don't give a hoot about this politics stuff; they still wanted/expected the fight, and this is ultimately the most critical driver, especially after Canelo called out GGG in the ring after the Khan fight. I also haven't heard any details of an offer from GBP, any half-assed offer, subsequent to Canelo relinquishing the WBC title. This indicates to me, that he dropped the belt from his dress with NO INTENT TO FIGHT GGG WHATSOEVER. And so he rightfully becomes Mexico's biggest duck in recent memory. Brilliant move? I'd have to disagree there.

Surprised? I'd be utterly shocked if that happens. Anyway, could you provide a summary of why you feel Canelo matches so favorably against GGG? The only advantage that comes to mind for me is that Canelo may outweight GGG by a few pounds.

In the 1st month of camp CANELO would be going in & out of court in a multi-million dollar lawsuit case , while GGG had a full camp with zero distractions.

All those advantages , in favor of the challenger(GGG)who is also the B-Side by a mile to the Lineal Champion A-Side(CANELO). Team GGG knew exactly what they were doing , they tried to screw CANELO over , and they forced him to vacate, but it was the smart move , do you see now. That is not fair no matter how you slice it or try to spin it. Of course GGG fans & other CANELO haters don't give a hoot about politics when CANELO had everything going against him & GGG had everything going in his favor.

GB & K2 both wanted and agreed to make the fight in 2017.

GGG smokes Canelo yellow by a violent KO as millions of mexicans get hammered on tequila and loco weed and weep and refuse to sneak anywhere but their barrio. Golovkin fights as a middleweight and needs no games or catch weights to fight as the true middle champion.
