Who is better: Paul Smith/Barrera or David Lemieux/Murray/Macklin/Geale

So Red Foxx was telling me these guys are on par, even though he didn't realise Paul Smith was a journeyman from England who had spent most of his early carer at 160 and then moved to 168 to get beat by up and comers in Groves (KO 2) and DeGale (TKO 9). That too 5-6 years ago.

In terms of Barrera, he was a completely untested prospect or at best, fringe contender, who had only been scheduled for one previous 12 rounder and whos best win was probably Murat...yeah the guy who Cleverly stopped in 2010.

So, let's have it nsb, which groups of opponents are better?
    33
    Barrera and Smith
    12.12%
    4
    Macklin/Murray/Geale/Lem
    87.88%
    29

    The poll is expired.

Boxrec ranks Lemieux as the 5th best middleweight in the world. They rank Murray as the 11th best super middleweight in the world. Boxrec ranks Barrera as the 38th best light heavyweight in the world. They rank Smith as the 47th best super middleweight in the world. It's no contest. It's not even close.

That's not going into detail, that's just listing names.

bro you need to stop comparing Golovkin to Ward, its not even a matter of opinion. Everyone knows Ward is more accomplished, Golovkin a person i really like hasn't done anything career than he thinks Canelo should meet his requirements, its absurd. Golovkin said he would come down to 154 for floyd but not Canelo, said he would go up to 168 for Froch but not Ward. He chases money not legacy.

Murray has proven he can compete at world level consistently. Smith, Brand & Sullivan have not. Murray>Those.

Geale & Lemieux have a better win set than the 3 Ward opponents. Sturm, Sylvester, Karmazin, Mundine, N'dam, Guerrero, Rosado & Fletcher.

1 of them was also a rival champion.

                  Golovkins3>Wards 3.
