Or because those were NON TITLE fights and he didnt have to! Which is very common in boxing. Trout spent over 2 years fighting north of 154 at higher weights then canelo. Did he do that because he could no longer make 154? We know the answer to that because he just made 154 for a title fight against charlo. And yet during these last 3 years NOBODY called Trout a middleweight everyone still called him a Jr middleweight. And the moment he had to make weight for a title he did. Canelo has fought at lower weights then trout and his next fight is for a title at 154.You dont even realize how ****** this sounds.
Yea, except when he fought Lara and Kirkland he was not fighting for a mw title, but he still fought at 155. WHY? Ask yourself why he would be fighting at 155 against JRMW if he could still make 154. He couldnt win Lara's title because he was a MW at weigh in.
Once you cant make 154, you are no longer a JRMW, no matter how scared you are of Golovkin.
Is Spence a welterweight? Because he's fought 15 of his 20 pro fights above 147. Spence just last nov fought at contract weight of 157 weighed higher then canelo and is older too. Only made 147 when he had to FOR A TITLE ELIMINATOR to gain a ranking for a title shot. So is he a middleweight? Or did he just come in fights over weight for non title fights? I'm confused he's been labeled a welterweight his entire pro career while usually fighting a few pounds over the 147 limit. Calling canelo a middleweight is about as dumb as calling trout and Spence one.Comment

And tito at the same age fought mostly small guys (he was basically 6ft with a frame that allowed him to fight all the way at middleweight and even at 170 catch weight north of super middleweight). He had massive size and weight advantage over just about everyone he fought at WW. And you call canelos opponents old yet his best win was over a old camacho and he ran from Whitaker until he was more shot then Mosley. Like I said there is no standard you can use that says tito accomplished more then canelo when he was the same age. And of course they wouldn't be impressive to a GGG fan, why fight the best fighters when you can fight bums on house arrest like wade. That's truly impressive.Comment

I guess I don't care about the age thing, Vargas looked like a surefire HOF very young. Tito was just more impressive in the ring, more of a presence. Canelo has the best resume that money can buyAnd tito at the same age fought mostly small guys (he was basically 6ft with a frame that allowed him to fight all the way at middleweight and even at 170 catch weight north of super middleweight). World champion and world level are 2 different things , Charles Martin was the undefeated HW champion of the WORLD!!!! how do you rate him as a Boxer ?Dude, these are facts:
Liam Smith is a World Champion
Chris Eubanks Jr. is a prospect
As far as money goes I can promise you that if Khan got $6 mil to fight Canelo... Liam will get at least $4 mil so don't try to justify Lil G opponent b/c of what he's getting paid.. That's a ****** argument how and why you would rather see Lil G fight Eubanks over another Champ in Lara is unknown to me but I ain't a Golovtards so who cares the dudes all hype and no bite
You need to use critical thinking when judging ranks and world champions now days .... so many titles and rankings , use your brain , do you think Liam Smith is a better boxer then Chris ? did you watch them fight ? can you please tell me Liam biggest strengths as a fighter ? what do you think he does best ?
really lets talk about boxing for a second and not money.Comment

This is as clear an example as you could possibly find of putting off a problem and hoping it will go away. "Yeah, yeah we totally want the fight, let's revisit this in a year, we'll definitely be ready to make it then."Some people actually believe that there is a "verbal agreement" in place too. The fact that he ran away from the weight class and is fighting the worst title holder in history of 154 tells everything.
He ain't moving up until the coast is clear or until GGG starts to show age and weakness.Comment

Grouoie lol
I don't always agree with him
Check out my sig. It shows I'm a history buff
His post was replete with history lessons. I appreciate that
I liked the history of how purses were handled I liked hearing about how the term "stake money" came about.
I do distinctly recall pacquiao avoiding Mosley. I espcially recall paquiao refusing a rematch with cotto once he hired a trainer and asked for a fair weight (after manny slaughtered him). So why would manny refuse another easy payday after he ran through cotto? The answer is obvious. That's was the point he was trying to make with examples to back his point
So i ask you what was wrong with his post.Comment
