If he's lighter then it should be him moving down to fight canelo because if canelo can make 154 and 155 then GGG should too right? Why won't he move down? And again since maidana was the same damn size as canelo on fight night then is he a middleweight too? Or do phony guesses on a fighters fight night weight only matter for canelo? Or for everyone else we judge what their fighting weight is by the weight the fight is contracted at?

First off, they are not phony guess, the network weighs them. GGG still allows himself to be weighed, Canelo recently stopped when people started calling him out on it.

I susepct you know the answer to this question the weight issue. They are not same age.

Its well know once you get to around 30 years old taking off weight is more harmful to you. Not only that, Canelo is used to it.

OK make a case that tito at the same age and stage as canelo fought better competition? I'll wait for your response. Clearly Trinidad had a better overall career but not at the same age canelo is now and he didn't start moving up in weight till he was pushing 30 and when he was canelo age he flat out was ducking Whitaker, a man who was the number one p4p fighter in the world and number 1 ww in the world in his own division and had the real belt at ww. for almost half a decade he refused to fight him and only did so when he was old, beaten and coming out of retirement.

Got idiots saying canelo needs to be like Trinidad and fight bigger guys like bhop and roy leaving out he didn't do that until he was half to a full decade OLDER then Canelo. And when he was canelos age he went a 4 year stretch in the mid 90s fighting bums instead of fighting the top ww Champs like Whitaker or quartey.

At age 25 canelo has 1 significant win against a quasi talented fighter albeit controversial. Yes, he's has names on his resume...some past prime some smaller some inactive when selected to fight some debatable wins..i can off the top recall at least 4 significant Tito victories before age 21 i believe against blocker, carr, macho, campas then one of my all time favs sweet pea at i think at age 26...seem to recall substance abuse may have delayed that fight...

Not only is he not a JRMW, Ring Magazine, who is owned by Golden Boy, has him ranked as their number 1 Middleweight.

Why, because he has been fighting at MW for two years.

You dont even realize how ****** this sounds.

Yea, except when he fought Lara and Kirkland he was not fighting for a mw title, but he still fought at 155. WHY? Ask yourself why he would be fighting at 155 against JRMW if he could still make 154. He couldnt win Lara's title because he was a MW at weigh in.


Once you cant make 154, you are no longer a JRMW, no matter how scared you are of Golovkin.

I don't think he loses it unless he says he'll campaign at Sww only. He should do that asap and stop disgracing the lineal belt. But they've said they're working their way up to 160 so we're probably stuck with this lineal paper champ deluxe

Canelo dropped the belt. Why are people still complaining? He has no obligation to fight GGG anymore. Time for GGG and his fans to move on. GGG has his belt. He's a 4:1 favorite to beat Canelo. It's basically a mismatch so beating Canelo means he beat a fighter he was supposed to beat

The biggest problem is not that he ducked GGG, but that he did it so publicly, after not only throwing his own pride behind it, but also attaching his hole country's pride to it. Saying basically. Im a mexican, mexicans dont **** around, lets fight.

Past prime then go and name macho who was past his prime, a avg campas and blocker and carr? LOL. Thats it when he was canelos age and stage. Tito fought through the entire 90s avoiding Whitaker and quartey and only tried to fight whitaker in 1998 when he had drug problems fight ultimately happened in 1999? So why didn't he try to fight him between 1993-1997? You know the answer he sat and waited till Whitaker got old blatantly ducking the best fighter in his division. He held 1 minor belt IBF the least credible of the belts during the 90s and a stretch from 95-98 where he fought laughable bums including the 20 loss pendleton.

Canelo at age 25 has has fought Floyd, Cotto, Lara, Trout, Mosley, 3 first ballot HOFs and Lara might get there some day as well. Canelo unified the belts (something tito didn't do till his late 20s), was number 1 ranked in his division (something Tito didn't do till his late 20s), has won 3 world titles 54, 60(something tito didn't do till his late 20s). Canelo has fought almost double the amount of world champions tito fought at the same age, fought more hofs (camacho is the only one).

I gave you the rope and you hung yourself. Like I said tito obviously better career as a whole but most of the things you giving him credit for he didn't accomplish until a much older age and stage of his career. Both at age 25 canelo has done more and taken more risks and it's not even close.
