Ward will clown Kovalev

People are so naive, thinking Kovalev stands anything more than just a puncher's chance against Ward. Kovalev doesn't have a bigger size advantage than Froch or Kessler did, two proven elite fighters whom Ward completely disarmed. His punching power is bigger, yeah, but he doesn't have the speed or skills to take advantage of it. Kovalev is not on a different level from Froch or Kessler, he's around their level. Ward will absolutely clown him and it's obvious to anyone who knows anything about boxing. To be honest, we should already start thinking about who that could be a fitting opponent for Ward when he's done with Kovalev and who Kovalev should face in a confidence booster to get back on track after Ward beats him.

Ward's doing plenty of clowning alright. He is the second biggest clown in the sport behind the diva with this joke of a fight against a 39 year old 168 pounder. Glad Ward is as confident in his skills as you appear to be, lol.

50/50 fight where both guys are facing the best guy they've ever fought...

Can't even call a winner but if Ward gets caught cold early who knows what happens... Kovalev is more than just a power puncher, he can actually box as well...gonna be a great fight!!!

When has Kovalev ever proven to be able to keep up with a defensive speedy genius like Ward? He will get beaten in the same way Kessler and Froch, his equals, got beaten. Technically simple fighters just can't catch Ward effectively.

Please, Ward got marked all up by Barrera and Killa Kov drops guys with Jabs. There is a reason why Ward needed a bunch of tune ups before facing Killa Kov, he doesn't think he can win. He's testing himself against a smaller, older opponent that does absolutely nothing for his preparation for facing Kovalev.

That's a no brainer.

I just went to Khan-Canelo ringside and Bellew-Makabu ringside plus a trip to Dubai in between so another trip to Vegas might be too much for this year but if I hadn't that would be a fight I would definitely be attending.

Have you ever seen them fight? Ward is in a completely different league. This is not a schoolyard fight, this is boxing, and skills mean more than power. Ward is leagues above Kovalev in both skills and speed.

Pascal is a 175 version of shane mosely

fights in spurts, has impressive speed and power but isnt consistent with his punch out put, he doesnt establish a jab and instead of parrying the right hand, slipping it to his left or dipping under it, or roll it with his lead shoulder, he leans to the right...EVERYTIME.....Thats a bad habit especially against someone who specializes in throwing straight shots like Pascal

Ward is another level of fighter to Pascal...he knows all the nuances and has a good offense as well, He transitions from offense to defense seemlessly whereas with a fighter like Pascal its either one thing or the other

I guess we'll see fight night. Taking all bets if the fight takes place in 2016.

in a clean fair fight ward will lose, he has to cheat to win. But even all that wont be enough to defeat kovalev. Ward might die in this fight, I hope he corner knows when to throw in the towel but its that piece of **** virgil who would rather allow his fighters to take the beating of their life then humble himself.

I think Kovalev stops him. Ward beat sullivan barrera but looked uncomfortable at that weight. Remember, Dawson was not at light heavy, barrera is wards first fight at 175.

I think Kovalev is more dangerous than Froch (ask Pascal if not deluded by his 2 KO loss) and Kessler.

That being said, style make fights and Kovalev seems to not be an Inside fighter.

The thing about Kovalev is while beating Hopkins and Hopkins was old, I know, but Hopkins was IMO in decent shape (proof the beating he did withstand) and never showed me a lot of tactital weaknesses in Kovas game.

Kova is a beast and his game is quite OK, he does have a better footwork than Froch and Kessler IMO
