im sitting here with the Ticketmaster page on one of my tabs, I found a seat that I like (for 315 or 335 after taxes) but for some reason I just cant press the BUY TICKET button. I might just save my money for the ward vs kovalev fight in vegas. I am a Ward Fan who lives in the Bay Area but I just cant force myself to give up damn near $400 dollars for this match.

Can any ward fans convince me? I havent heard anything about the undercard yet but I dont expect much either

It's a chance to watch one of the best boxers in the world and a possible all-time great. $300 is cheap as hell considering how much Floyd and Pac tickets cost and you'll be getting a great seat, not stuck up in the nosebleeds.

neither guy can find anyone who can mimic the other, thats why the fight is intriguing

Chilemba is world ranked, but he either lost or drew with every world class guy he fought...he is levels below ward just as brand is levels below Kov

I've got no beef with Ward staying busy and getting the payday which he is contractually owed by HBO in exchange for his agreeing to the Kovalev fight in November.

In fact I hope Ward's strategy here is to pull up a smaller guy and try to knock him out since that would help hype up the PPV showdown with Kovalev—a fight which *richly deserves* attention from the casual fans (and impressive KOs help to generate that).

Now that you can see I'm not trying to hate on Ward, let's be real. Chilemba is a very good light heavyweight with a respectable résumé ... but comparing Chilemba to Brand??? Let's not go overboard here lol!!

Why don't I ever see you complain about Kovalev's attendance numbers? You are aware that they are dismal, right?

Ward is one of the best if not the best boxer in the game right now. He has nothing to prove. IMO fighting Kovalev is a huge risk, Ward should go back down to 168 and continue his reign or try and make a fight with GGG.

huge letdown.. brand is levels below Barrera. why would u go backwards in competition..face kovalev and all is forgiven. maybe he wants a guy to practice combinations on.

This is not meant to be a competitive fight. Its meant to sharpen up with someone who will try, but poses little threat (at least little relative to Kovelav). Kovalev is doing the same thing with Chilemba (who has three loses & 10 knockouts).

You pecker riders always siding with the guys who never fight the big fights so you can fantasize about how great they are without any real proof. Look man, it doesnt matter how weak you are or how many L's youve taken in the game of life, what matters is that you deal with them head on and stop dreaming up heroes and fantasizing about Andre coWard showing up at your 20 year high school reunion next month and beating up all your childhood bullies then scrubbing your doodoo streaked tighty whities on his abs while he ****s your suicidal, disappointed, depressed wife.
