Why can't Team GGG pay Jacobs the 4-5 mil he asks for? Khan made 13 mil vs Canelo

Jacobs should go take BJS belt then , we can get this fight on , and a good payday for both

He got that amount because he agreed to it. So, this rumour that k2 won't pay is bull****. The reality is the other phags are just too scared to fight for that amount. They probably wouldn't even do it for $10 million. No amount is ever enough but somehow you guys will blame golovkin instead of the pu$$ies demanding a billion.

If GGG would've said no to the Eubank fight they would say GGG's scared and ducking but because GGG's making that fight Eubank's a bumb. You see how that works. The hate is strong here.

        • LMAO! The same people saying GGG's high risk low reward are the ones that wanted GGG to move up and fight Ward.

Secondly, Amir Khan got nowhere near $13m to fight Alvarez; on just the rumors of what the event did, there's no way that Khan got that much, Alvarez was able to get significantly more than that, and Golden Boy didn't just lose it's entire ass on the fight.
My responses have been to the op's claims. Maybe he has a reference to prove what Jacobs asked for vs Golovkin & what Khan made vs Canelo? If not, this thread is irrelevant.

There is no "unless". He either wins or loses. What is your pick?

There is no possible spin you could possibly come up with to defend the fact that the remaining best at 160 are afraid to fight GGG. Even other trinket holders.

There's a lot of spite for GGG here, then again when your favorite fighter became a coward rather than fight him, you can't expect anything less than what looks like a child throwing a tantrum from some of the "Boxing fans" around here

To fight as chief support, lol (with Quillin coming in off of a layoff too).

If that's all you've got, tough titty

The issue is that I think fans think that Promotions can just come up with Big Money at anytime because of what Mayweather and Pacquiao was making but it is not that simple. Mayweather and Pacquiao generated so getting investors to buy into and back their fights was always a phone call away but in boxing today none of these current fighters have that luxury besides maybe Canelo
Mayweather put up his own money for his fights, so his case is different. Pacquiao getting $20m, whether the fight does 1m buy or 100k buys, definitely messed things up, but people have seen example of fighters giving up things to help make fights, whether it be money or weight or location or whatever.

                    imo, that disconnect is odd.

Nobody can come to 160 and become a champion without fighting him. Whether they are willing to take that risk is another story.
What Golovkin and his camp and his fans always harp on rarely ever lines up with the actions that they take.

Saunders, with the WBC 160 belt now in hand, should've been the only opponent that K2 should've bothered with looking to fight; gauge what you think HBO is willing to pay to carry a matinee/primetime re-air of the fight, what the German TV rights could be worth with a primetime Germany fight on whatever German broadcaster that carries Golovkin's fights, what the UK TV rights for a primetime fight could be worth, and what live gate business that K2/Frank Warren could gin up for the fight in the UK, and you work to talk down Saunders' number.

If you have to take a bath on the one fight, so be it; Golovkin winning the fight gets him all of the belts at 160, and Golovkin finally rules a weight class.

The one hang up though (you could say fear), is that K2 could take a bath on the fight, Golovkin could get his ears boxed off, and they'd be left with a 35 year old career middleweight fighter who'd be two fights away (risking another potential loss) from getting into position to maybe be called for another title shot.
