Neither guy is ducking Gennady but both want good paydays, as they should.

So, if they are too cheap to give Billy Joe or Danny the 3 or 4 million they deserve, I have no problem with them going with Eubank.

He is certainly a better challenge than the Worm or Wade.

And Jr actually will be the rare lil g opponent who actually has a legit shot at winning...

...which is more than you can say for Golovkin's last 10 opponents excepting Murray.

Technically you're right. But I don't think he's done that since while Canelo has continued to reign at Caneloweight. Any way you slice it, Lara would be the best option given the crappy circumstances.

Nobody is getting 4 million for either of those fights and that's including Golovkin. They want that much because they know they'd get destroyed. Imagine if GGG didn't take a fight because he couldn't get 3 or 4 million. You'd change your tune really fast.

Not an A-level opponent but definitely a step up from his previous fight and one of the better available opponents unfortunately (given that we know Canelo, Jacobs, Saunders have all talked their way out of fighting GGG).

You are probably right.

But, this underscores a point I have been making.

There is a huge difference between who Gennady thinks he is and who he actually is.

If you are truly a star, opponents can ask for and get that kind of money.

Lil g clearly isn't there yet; but you wouldn't know it by the way they act.

That's why I don't blame Saunders for asking for that much- and I believe that if they fight in the UK, purse figures better than what lil g and Lemieux got are quite possible.

Jacobs has absolutely nothing Golovkin wants. He has no leverage. He has a ****tier inconsequential version of a title Golovkin already has. Saunders is a nobody who hides in Europe and has a title that has no heritage or pedigree. There is absolutely no reason to over pay a guy for that and no sane person would do that. Why you think golovkin's people should do that just exposes your agenda.

Any reasonable person looks at this situation and sees three of the top guys in his division having absurd demands. Whether it be a bogus weight clause or a ridiculous payoff. Golovkin isn't the one who looks bad in this situation.

I'll say this. Before Canelo made his decision there was talk from Loeffler about fighting Jacobs and the WBA calling a mandatory. Since Canelo made his decision I've heard nothing from Loeffler about Jacobs. Both sides have been su****iously quiet. Can either fighter ask the WBA to call a mandatory?
