Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Coach: Canelo Fight Needs No Warming Up, It's Boiling!

BoxingScene.com's Steve Kim first reported that a middleweight showdown between Gennady Golovkin and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez was going to be pushed back to the fall of 2017. Fans were hoping to see them battle this coming September. Earlier this year, the World Boxing Council ordered Canelo (47-1-1, 33KOs) to face Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs), the mandatory challenger, in the fall.

Its obvious canelo is hoping GGG gets old
Dude is soft. Canelo lost a lot of fans and respect. This is damage control.

Exposes? He invited the man into the ring blabbed on and on about the size of his balls and then gave up his belt like a ****** gives up her cookies on prom night....and he's going to expose the man? When exactly is that? In fight night 5, 6, or 7 because we know one thing for damn sure they showed they didn't want to fight the guy.

Generally I would agree, but Canelo talked a lot of ****.

Remember the in-ring challenge? The whole 'Golovkin answer your phone tomorrow'

despite all that bull**** you said, canelo still got the better resume and took more risks in his career than golovkin. when canelo fights little g, he will have done what little g refused to do. move up in weight and fight the best guy there. we talkin about a guy who came up with every excuse in the book to avoid andre ward....but I know....lets not talk about that. this is boxing scene. where ********** get no love. but yes....when the fight happens. canelo will EXPOSE golovkin for the overhyped fraud he is.

Canelo disrespected His Mexican roots, the pressure was on and he vacated rather than fight GGG, yet we are supposed to believe he will be ready by 2017? Why not 2018?

That post fight Canelo-Khan interview where he brought GGG in the ring and talked plenty **** and his following actions will haunt him forever

Some real dumb people out there

yeah, moving from 154 to 155 is a huge leap of faith. Will we see Saul transition from 155 to 156 is 2017?

That resume can't be worth that much if he's lacking so much confidence vs the unproven guy that he'd vacate and turn into boxings laughing stock

Lol at moving up, this fcuk hasn't made 154 in almost 3 years and still afraid of going 160 lol
