No Canelo-GGG this year. Sept 2017 more realistic

I read this article yesterday and meant to post it but I just saw a tweet that made me remember it.

Earlier this morning, June 21, Abel Sanchez, the noted trainer of Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin, communicated with a member of the TSS family. During the
conversation, it was brought to Sanchez’s attention that the Stations Casinos chain in Las Vegas had opened Golovkin a 4/1 favorite (minus*400) over Canelo Alvarez, the
former lineal middleweight champion who recently relinquished his belt rather than oppose Golovkin in a mandatory title defense.
“Sounds right,” said Abel Sanchez, referencing the odds, “but in May of 2017 (at the earliest), with September more likely.”
“That’s not fair to the boxing public,” Sanchez was told. “Not our fault,” he replied. Then he added this observation: “(Canelo Alvarez) has an alligator mouth with a pigeon *ss.”
As we remember, Alvarez called out GGG after knocking out Amir Khan at the T*Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 7. After inviting Golovkin to stand from his
ringside seat, Alvarez said through an interpreter “I fear no one in this sport. I’ll fight him right now.” In his post*fight remarks, Alvarez’s promoter Oscar de la Hoya said
“Golovkin, make sure you answer your phone tomorrow morning. We will call you.”

Good move by Golden Boy, no reason to rush Canelo... The kid is only 25 yrs old and has yet to fight at the 160 limit. It be a ****** move for Oscar to allow his "Golden Boy" to fight Lil G without ever seeing how Nelo does at the full 160 against a legit MW first.

He's the lineal MW champion. He's fought 4 fights at middleweight. The only reason he hasn't fought at the MW limit is because it was his choice. Fighting at 155 means he's a middleweight. If he's not ready now when will he be ready?

1 pound over Jr Middleweight don't make you a middleweight. And I could care less what belt he held we have seen tons of fighters hold belts in weight classes that wasn't their real weights. And he threw the belt in the trash so that angle means nothing now anyway. If he can still make 154 then he damn sure doesn't and shouldn't go to 160. It's GGG who said he could go to 154 and is the B side so that fool should be the one going down in weight to fight Canelo. Otherwise sit and weight until he is ready to move to 160. Canelo is only 25 he has nothing but time on his hands.

GGG if he had better management around him advising him he would of dropped whatever weight to get canelo now or moved up for bigger fish a year ago. Instead he is just wasting years fighting bums like Wade. The big money is north and south of 160 but he stuck at a dead weight with no relevant fights.

What a tragic shame he ducked Ward for nothing.

h's not just holding a belt, dude. he's holding the lineal title. he's the guy who beat the guy [cotto] who beat the guy [martinez] who beat the guy [pavlik] who beat the guy [taylor] who beat the guy [bernard f#Cking hopkins, a legend who won his lineage when he boxed for a vacancy against tito trinidad, a hall of famer on a good run at the time.]

and he's created a new weight class to maintain that "lineage" while avoiding the biggest fight in boxing, which is canelo - golovkin. and you think this kid is still a junior middleweight?!? that's how backwards boxing is! they've got you fooled! canelo is heavier on fight night than golovkin. he's not going to test the waters at 160 becaue he wants to keep people like you thinking that it's okj for him to fight welterweights.
