From the looks of Lawrence, Ruiz is tuning up for an Ortiz bout.

Feels like Ruiz is never going to take the next step up. Just gonna keep fighting bums and journeymen for the rest of eternity

Lawrence was inactive for a few years. I noticed he had fought twice the last couple of weeks. Couldn't find either fight. Not sure what he has left. I got the Estrada fight from a few years back. I'm sure Ruiz will take care of business. Ruiz would be his biggest step up but he is 40 now. I haven't seen a whole lot of lawrence.

So Ruiz will fight on July 16th in Detroit and then September 10th in Lemoore?

At least it looks like he's starting to get active.

Boxrec shows that Lawrence only fought once this year in March.

That said, Lawrence is not a bad opponent for Ruiz. He's a tough fringe contender who's been in with some good opponents. He has been very inactive over the last several years though

Now there is a name I haven't heard for the best part of a decade.

How much longer is Andy Ruiz going to be pampered for seriously?
The guy had 100 amateur fights & almost has 30 as a pro and he is still fighting retired 40yr old journeymen and fighters who are usually fed to 10-15 fight prospects.

Wouldn't be surprised to hear Ruiz vs Esch next.
