Another negative: Errol Spence is on the broadcast tonight announcing that his next fight is on NBC.

Marv Albert asks him who he is fighting and he says they don't know yet. It's TBA.

Freaking bush league by Haymon. If you're going to try and leverage one broadcast in order to build interest for another then at least have all your **** together. This comes across as so unprofessional.

Tuned in for Fonfara-Smith and, as has been the case for a while now, the vast majority of the in-between-the-rounds spots seem to be selling through, the event sponsorships beyond Corona (Vivid Seats and Mobile Strike tonight) are coming through, the venues have been better positioned to sell tickets, and the ratings aren't bad either.

How big the business could be is still in doubt, but folks who deny that there's a business there are deluding themselves.
They are as viable as losing 500 million dollars in one year can possibly be I'd imagine.

The ratings are terrible relative to the budget for each fight. This is something that escapes all the ******s on here who don't understand a thing about business. The thing has been nothing but a complete disaster with them putting all the best fights back on showtime and putting prospects on PBC. So, what was the point of blowing all that money?

            Today's broadcast.

            1. Orlando
            2. Corona commercial featuring Santa Cruz, Garcia, and Wilder!
            3. Soft-core counts. Wasn't paying attention on the card rules for standing 8-counts, but PBC is doing responsible regulation and safety from fighters. Perhaps that's one draw back from the brutal fights you'll see on private networks. The general exposure for most of the fighters tonight still provides broader promotion. It's the best card of course, but for free on 4K TVs and having stateside sports just force the broadcast to the public for our sport is still dope.

You need to understand branding doe. Showtime PPV? CBS Sports still benefits from the branding. That means the logo you see "PBC." All the revenues go to the desired goal whether its on any PBC hosting platform.

What we know by now is that the whole PBC Haymon thing was a disaster.

Bad ratings and they get worse with every show.

                Lost a ton of money.

Most Haymon fighters lost a ton of fans and respect.

Most of his fighters became very inactive.

Haymon basically made the sport suffer and hurt alot of his fighters.

I was optimistic at first, but the outlook doesnt look good. I would have thought with haymon having so many and different outlets to fight, his more profilic fighter would have the opportunity to fight more than 2 times a year.

The first year we sometimes got three different broadcasts over one weekend (friday night, saturday afternoon and saturday night).
Now it really looks like he burnt trough most of the budget in the first year and we only get 2 broadcast a month.

His expensive fighter went back to showtime and with the announcement of three espn events without any marquee fighter I really wonder if they cant finance expensive network fights anymore.

Only good network fight on the horizont is thurman vs porter, but they needed a long ass time to schedule it.

This. We know from a business it's a disaster and lost hundreds of millions and that the ratings are terrible. But what many are now noticing is that almost all haymon top fighters are now basically once a year inactive fighters and have no doubt seen their careers go backwards because of PBC.
So there has definitely been collateral damage to his fighters who are fighting less and are getting half the ratings they used now that they are going back to showtime. So what was the point of point of this mess?
