I know it's fun to bash Canelo, but for the record.....

Hypekin spent FOUR YEARS saying..... " anyone from 154-168 ".

Then, he killed TWO huge fights over the weight LMAO

Canelo Alvarez walks into the ring for his fights at about 170lbs, fit and hydrated; the amount of effort to get his body down to 155lbs is about the same amount of effort to get the body down to 154lbs.

The man is taking ~20lbs off of his frame to fight either way, and he's still performed well (with better pacing over the back half of the fight as he's got more experience).

Where did this "struggling to make the weight" story even get started? Canelo's never missed the weight on the first shot, he's never had to strip to his skivvies to try and make a weight, and he's never had to hop on the scales after a two hour boil down.

Alvarez is a junior middleweight fighter who chased Miguel Cotto up to 155lbs, has fought exclusively junior middleweight and welterweight fighters over the course of his career, and has never called out a single 160lb fighter.

Golovkin had the fight, if he wanted it, at 155lbs; rather than grab the opportunity, Golovkin and his camp stood behind some nonsense about the fight having to happen at 160lbs.

If Golovkin wants the fight, he can have the fight at 155lbs.

otherwise, shut the **** up and move on to fighting at 160.

Canelo makes the weight on the first shot, does so with his shorts still on, and is still able to perform on fight night (going a hard 12 rounds with no real issue).

The objective information is literally opposite of the story that you've been trying to sell.

U ****ing dummy....there's no such thing as a 155lb division and if I was near you now I would slap some sense into that thick cranium of yours....face it canelo is a duck who hardly makes 155lb and he weighs 175lb fight night and that's why he refused to let HBO weigh him on fight night when he boxed chinny khan..face it dummy canelos had to scarper to a lower division to avoid a fighter he said he would meet at 160.....and now he's deciding if he can make 154lb now and face off with Liam smith..if he could have made 154lb easy he would have boxed in that division instead of him losing all credibility and getting universally condemned for his ducking tactics lol..GTFOH dummy and go get some knowledge ..btw it was you who said Martin would never make 4 million if he faced Joshua in the uk...

Contract weight fights happen all of the time; with Alvarez, after the Floyd defeat, choosing to not chase after any belt, he's been fighting at contract weights (with the WBC going along with his contract weights for the Cotto and Khan fights).

Errol Spence Jr (20-0, 17 KOs, top 10 welterweight) has had 10 of his 20 fights at contract weights.

Of Canelo's 49 career fights, 18 of his career fights have been at contract weights beyond the 140/147/154 hard weight limits that you seem to want to obsess about.

Please explain how ? I'm saying canelo is running for his life from golovkin and he's lost all credibility over his avoidance of golovkin and was also forced to vacate his title ....as for this 155lb belt you keep waffling on about ...I'm curious what this belt actually looks like send me a photo of it dummy ?

If Canelo wants to move to 160 and fight a contender at that weight before taking on GGG you can't blame him. But GGG is getting old and I still think that's what Canelo's team want.
Most of them are with Haymon -- Canelo can't fight any, because GBP sued Haymon.

Stfu scipio. "You played yourself"...what are you? 12? Canelo is a ducking b1tch, plain and simple, who wants to always dictate terms. 155 is a weight class. Having guys come UP to 155 from either 140 and 147 to fight is a b1tch move every time it happens.

How so if Golovkin was the one dictating the fight first he's got Loeffer and Sanchez in his ear and up his crack now didn't Canelo say he would fight Golovkin at 160 and isn't the negotiations still on going so if Canelo agreed to everything how is he dictating the fight pay attention this fight will happen and it might happen in September so just wait and see what the outcome is
