If he could have boiled down to 154lbs with his last 4 fights he would have so obviously there's a problem there and now he's lost all credibility by having to vacate his title and run for his life away from golovkin...basically he's a middleweight who is having cut drastic weight just to avoid his obligations as a middlweight ..the games up for him and he will be ridiculed as long as he avoids golovkin..no one likes a duck instead of an inbred like yourself ..now craw back down that hole where you normally live lolComment

Kov came in at 186 in last fight, and when Ward was a 168 he said he walked around at 180. He was at last a few pounds bigger in last fight, if not more.
Ward hasn't made 168 since Nov. 2013, so he isn't a 168er. In fact, he completed in amatuers at LHW and has often talked about being able to compete at HW. So it's erroneous to claim he is a SMW. He's not.
He usually used to fight at 176. 3 lbs more than GGG...

You're kidding, right? Golovkin has only had one PPV; against Lemieux, who already had shown signs of weakening. You think Mayweather or anyone (excepting Canelo) else broke records in their first PPV? Now if Canelo & Golovkin did sign a contract, that fight would do huge numbers in PPV & live gate buys, guaranteed. It would be right up there with Canelo vs Mayweather, but would be a much more satisfying fight.
Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, from about 2010 through just before the Mayweather fight, was groomed and consistently pushed by Golden Boy Promotions in as many ways as possible; by the time the Mayweather fight came about, it was time for Golden Boy to **** or get off the pot.
Mayweather PPV, Angulo PPV(so-so business), Lara PPV(so-so business), Kirkland step-back, Cotto PPV, Khan PPV, and the likely coming September PPV; not everyone is going to be a blockbuster, but that's how things go.
Golovkin had basically three years of TV build on HBO, had his first PPV, and the numbers were apparently so soft that K2 put the Wade fight on regular HBO, will likely put the rumored September fight on regular HBO, and will likely not even attempt another PPV on the alleged strength of Golovkin's name.
spin that however you wantComment
