How many folks are going to travel in (from Kazakhstan/Germany/or the adopted homebase of Los Angeles) to Las Vegas and buy the $500 or $1000 ticket (on top of whatever other costs to finance the trip/stay) to watch Gennady Golovkin fight?

At this point, i'd believe that Liam Smith would be able to get more folks to travel out to Vegas for him than Golovkin would.

He is a much more attractive risk/reward proposal.

That is the fight Team Hypekin would take if they were in that position.

But I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo fights Golovkin next, and I wouldn't be surprised if he beats him.

The holdup will be Team Bull****..... K2 are notoriously difficult to deal with, and Golovkin appears to over-value his worth at every step..... he has still to this day never made a truly meaningful fight.

Canelo (reasonably) accepted 152 for Mayweather because his team talked all that **** about fighting Floyd at 150..... but it appears highly unlikely that Golovkin will make similar concessions for Canelo, he appears completely unwilling to take any kind of risk at all.

I would bet just about anything that Canelo beats Golovkin at 155.

In fact I would guarantee it.

Even at 160 he will be right in that fight.

Tell it to Canelo. He obviously doesn't think so.

You're kidding, right? Golovkin has only had one PPV; against Lemieux, who already had shown signs of weakening. You think Mayweather or anyone (excepting Canelo) else broke records in their first PPV? Now if Canelo & Golovkin did sign a contract, that fight would do huge numbers in PPV & live gate buys, guaranteed. It would be right up there with Canelo vs Mayweather, but would be a much more satisfying fight.

Can'tNelo getting the sh it stick as he deserves.
I hope Floyd does come out of retirement and fights some scrub just to take away the date from Can'tNelo

                  Using YOUR methodology.....

..... Golovkin obviously knows that he can't beat Canelo at 155.

                    Good idea !

Golovkin focusing on Canelo sure made people forget that he ducked Ward.

As a psychiatrist i can tell you that you might not even realize it but you have a hard on on Golovking. Seek help.
