Why GGG gets criticized but Rigondeaux gets a pass?

...for the way they're managing their respective careers?

They're practically in the same situation and have taken the same kind of decissions

    - Both have been disgracefully ducked by the top names of their divisions for years, the so called champs would rather vacate the belts than fighting them

    - Both have been fighting B levels, no hopers or outright bums because they can't get a big fight

    - Both are praised as unbeatable gods in their own divisions, both are getting old, people wants to see them challenged asap so they can solidify their legacies before they are washed up, but both fighters have avoided what could have been the greatest test of their careers. Ward and Lomachenko, respectively

    - Both fighters are trying to nitpick the fights they would move up or down for:

---- GGG is willing to move up to 168 for Froch or Chavez, but not for Ward, he'll only fight Ward at a catchweight. He'll move down to 154 for Floyd, but not to 155 for Canelo

--- similarly, Rigo has claimed he'd move up in weight for Santa Cruz or Jhonny Gonzalez, but not for Lomachenko. He'll only fight Loma at a catchweight

I'm not trying to criticize these fighters for doing what's best for their careers (or at least that's what they think). The point is, GGG gets lapidated by haters on daily basis for taking these decissions, meanwhile, Rigo does the exact same **** and gets a free pass from the same hatas, and pretty much everyone else

so why the double standards? These guys are in the exact same position, they're both too good and too avoided, their clock is tickling, they need big legacy fights asap, yet they're not taking the few chances available for them

    why the double standards?

Loma has Rigo shook and for good reason. He aint going near him with a 10 foot pole.

Rigo is a chicken. Deserves all the criticism he gets, dude will be 40 soon enough without ever having fought anyone good.

Nobody here likes rigo. And rigo never said he's moving up for anyone do you have proof? Of anything he has said he would go down to 118 for a fight.

For the past few days I have been trying to reach esteemed trainer Pedro Diaz who is in Europe for two interesting fights on March 5 and March 12. Travel, time zones and training schedules made it difficult but on Sunday afternoon I caught up with the Cuban and his star pupil Guillermo Rigondeaux (16-0, 10 KOs) following an early evening meal in preparation for their usual 10pm training session.

WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (57-8, 48KOs) plans to sit ringside on Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California - when Nonito Donaire and Nicholas Walters will battle for WBA's version of the 126-pound crown. Gonzalez reclaimed his WBC title at the very same venue last August, when he stopped Abner Mares in the first round of action.

So yeah, Rigo is a nitpicker too, same **** GGG is doing

Cuz Rigodeaux took on a threat in the likes of at the time Reigning Fighter of The Year Nonito "Philippino Flash" Donaire!

GGG's best win is Martin Murray! When's the last time GGG wasnt favored to win a fight? That's right..NEVER

There was definitely some folks who thought Donaire had a chance to KO Rigo and he had the power to do it!

GGG would've definitely shut them same people up if he'd took on and beat Ward! Imagine Golovkin with Ward and Lara on his resume win or lose!!

Instead he's becoming a mythical monster without the badges!

Because Rigo actually had the chance to fight the top guy at his weight division in Donaire and won.... GGG had no such chance...Sturm,Geale,Martinez,Cotto,Canelo,And Saunders all passed on fighting him while champion.... Truth....

Rigondeaux could have went up 4 lbs for a fight with Lomachenko though...

So because he fought one big name in his entire career he gets a lifetime pass? It's that how it works?

So let's say, if GGG had beaten Martinez years ago, before Murray or Cotto got to him, he would have gotten a lifetime pass and wouldn't need to face anyone with a pulse ever again?

              I dont think so

Rigo is 35 with miserable 16 fights, and aside from Donaire he's fought nothing but BUMS

GGG's resume is better, he doesn't have a huge name like Nonito in his resume but at least many of GGG's opponents have been top 10 mw's and contenders, Rigo fights bums from the alley

if you're gonna criticize one guy, you have to do the same with the other

Before I declare Rigondeaux the biggest coward in boxing, I want to know how much he's getting paid for the ****ens fight....

If you tell me he's getting more than 500K, then I'll let the Lomachenko duck slide because he's been standing firm on the whole money thing.

But If he's getting less money to face ****ens then he's a flat out coward. Otherwise how else do you justify it?

Does anyone have any idea what the purses are? I'm going to be paying close attention...

Rigo has done a terrible job managing his career. Everybody agrees on that. He's been getting ducked much harder than GGG though
