My point wasn't that Canelo sucks or anything, just that he hasn't committed to where he will be fighting next. This makes me feel like he is bsing with us when he says that he will be fighting GGG soon.

My bad! And your right. He needs to pick a damn weight class. I don't mind CW as long as they're not for titles. And before Cotto and Khan they never were (Floyd doesn't count).
But now he has fought twice already for titles at a CW.

if ggg didnt cared crossing over from network fighter to ppv fighter he wouldnt be in america talking about mexican style... ggg isnt the only fighter with endorsements, but that doesnt change the fact that you could be getting paid 8 to 15 mill a fight instead of 2mill.. $25 mill net worth isnt really that much after being pushed by hbo for years, canelo made that much in only 2 fights (floyd,cotto)...

Golovkin came to the States because he was being frozen out by German promoters who didn't want him anywhere near their own minor cash cows.

He has only been in the country for 3 1/2 years and didn't earn more than $1million for any fight till Munroe.

Despite being ducked by title holders Martinez, Quillin and Geale during that time, he is now a 3 belt world title holder himself and has headlined his 1st PPV. The progress he has made in such a short span of time is astounding.

HBO are pushing him for a reason ... and it sure as hell isn't because he comes from Kazakhstan!

do you really think that casuals know about fighters vacating titles???
most of the times they dont even know about weight classes, let alone stuff like that... and you talk about the publicity , that publicity is on boxing shows, or boxing related sites, do you believe casuals watch those shows or go to those sites???

yep, there is also reports saying pac-bradley did less than 300k, and ggg 97k, and floyd 400k... so wathever makes you happy...
by the way canelo next fight doesnt have to be ppv, he has a contract with hbo where he needs to fight on regular hbo at least once a year, you know someone needs to bring suscribers to the network so that hbo can pay others for mismatches...

GGG is willing to fight all top middleweight fighter. Sergio Martinez, Cotto, Canelo, BJ Sounders. Beat the IBF Champion. Canelo said he is willing to fight GGG at 160, its four middleweight titles on the line, it should be at 160. They have weight classes for a reason.

Canelo is not a MW, he should have dropped the belt after the Cotto fight.

The reason Canelo has a better Resume is because fighters are willing to fight him, They get a good payday and not difficult opponent. On the other Hand fighters are not willing to get in the ring with GGG, high risk low reward. Once GGG is the most popular guy they will. U see more and more guys calling him out now than before.

Why on earth do you want Golovkin to fight Canelo, if he is not even a difficult opponent for JMW's?

In any case, 154 for Floyd and 168 for Froch/Chavez Jr. are what I thought was implied in the above quote a couple years ago. Ward, unfortunately wasn't in K2's radar because of high risk, low money, and uncertain timing.
