Bottom line is - there's a good chance AJ isn't ready for elite fights. So it makes sense to milk every dollar out of his fans while his hype train is still on the tracks.

Comments Thread For: Joshua vs. Parker Could Happen Next Spring, Says Hearn

Hearn has a long master plan layed out for Joshua. Beat Breazeale, then fight someone like Stiverne, Price or Molina in the fall with Parker fighting on the undercard against someone like Cornish or ***ton to get some UK exposure. Then a Parker fight in the spring of 17 to fulfill the mando. After that, as long as Joshua has come through unscathed and has looked up to it, I suspect the next fight to be against Fury/Wilder/Haye either in Vegas or Wembley depending on the opponent.

Haye would be the one (if any) as he's come out of retirement and is now considerably slower after gaining loads of mass. Even then Haye would give AJ plenty of trouble. I think that Price that will be the biggest name he'll face in the next 2 years, and he should decimate Price. To be honest a fight I would really really like to see is AJ vs Hughie Fury.

Don't come at me with triangle theories cause you'll get sunk like a ship in the Bermuda triangle LOL. Anthony Joshua has slow feet for a heavyweight. Don't make me list 10 heavyweights with better upper body movement, better foot speed, and better defence please. The only thing he has is good timing and power and that comes from planting your feet.

If you read the comment I posted I said all Joshua has going for him is power and timing. Even if he had very fast hands, as did haye (pre-comeback), it's no good if you can't get in range. You saw Haye vs Klitschko. Joshua would be even worse because his footwork and foot speed is nowhere near Haye's level.

Let's have a little prediction here in this forum then. What's your call on Postol/Crawford?

If however you're saying Haye is talented but his resume at HW doesn't match his talents, in terms of what he's capable of, then you're being fair.
2008 Monte Barrett (37yrs, loss 3 of his last 6 fights) KO5
1yr off
2009 Nikolay Valuev (36yrs, largely manufactured record) W12 (8-4 x2, 6-6)
2010 John Ruiz (38yrs, loss 3 of his last 6 fights) KO9
7mos off
2010 Audley Harrison (39yrs, need I say more than Audley Harrison) KO3
8mos off
2011 Wladimir Klitschko (HW Champion of the world) L12 (1-11, 2-10, 3-9)
1yr off
2012 Dereck Chisora (Premier UK journeyman/contender, loss 3 of his last 4 fights) KO5
3yrs6mos off
2015 Mark de Mori (Who?) KO1
2015 Arnold Gjergjaj (Who Part II?) KO2
If this isn't a contender level 10-0 prospect vs 5-7-1 guy resume who fails hard when he moves up I don't know what is.
Haye is in a tricky position, he's trying to rebuild his career, yet he's hungry for exposure, headlines, he craves attention and this means fans misunderstand Haye, they believe he's solely here for money, which is completely wrong.
