I wonder what weight class he will fight in. He has gained a lot of weight and lost muscle. Maybe he will have a testing the waters fight a weight class above the weight his body settles at.

Probably GBP, partner promo company, be in the Nelo undercards, its a no brainer

Oscar and Floyd hate each other, whoever Mikey decides to sign with, one of them are going to really mad when he loses to the other.

He's done a decent job so far I'd say considering its quite a poor stable.
More than decent, I think. People act as if Oscar created Golden Boy and it just took off from day one. I still remember Boxeo de Oro. I try not to.

i feel like GBP is the more natural alliance

i think 135-140 is a bit of a blindspot in PBC's roster at the moment as well. not too many exciting opponents for mikey on that side of the fence right now

Him being attached to the Mayweather name is gonna give him a lot of publicity, also a short term deal is good in his case because he's probably still rusty and needs a couple of fights to get back in form and to settle on the right weight class, if by then he's not satisfied then he can leave for something better, I think he has everything to gain and nothing to lose if he's confident in beating his next couple of opponents, him looking for something long term is a sign of him wanting to be on the safe side in case he got upset in his next couple of fights.

Plus, that Canelo undercard is probably the goal for every fighter right now next to signing with Al Haymon.

Same for Errol Spence, it only took Floyd a couple of interviews and a couple of rumors about him doing well in sparring against Floyd to make him the hottest American prospect right now and even before the Algieri fight. Floyd must be really pissed at the fact that Spence still refused to sign with him after this.

Does Mikeys even have a fighters heart to fight?

Mikey Garcia seems to lack the heart to be a top contender and the 3 years off in his prime make Mikey ripe for an upset KO loss. When a kid like Mikey sits out for 3 years losing big time prime earnings time and wages IT'S A SIGN OF DISINTERST IN bOXING. Mikey seems too soft to compete again. Must not need any money either.
