I don't see why it even matters what Canelo thought or what they told him.

If its in the contract and u signed it, then u are bound to it. Plain and simple. At least that's how I always thought legal contracts worked. De La Hoya's gonna have to come off some money for this

I'm on the fence with this because its not the 1st time he's seen a contract. I'm sure he's had to sign bout agreements and contract for the fights he had in Mexico. Even if the document was in English, he could have requested a translation. Reynoso signed it as well. To me they saw the money and jumped and when GBP came along with more money They jumped again. I wouldn't put it pass some GBP attorney telling them at the time they signed " if anyone ever asks about this just play dumb and tell them you thought you were signing a bout agreement because it was written in English." no habla englisha.

Sounds like a double double cross. No way All-star just sat on their hands for years while Alvarez blew up. What did they do in 2009-2012? Did they accept kick back money? Did they know they had the secret contract and we're just waiting for Alvarez to blow up before unleashing the lawsuit?

Canelo claimed it was a work visa? Surely no one is dumb enough to fall for that one, right?

Hoodwinked argument might of been valid if you didn't fight under they promotional umbrella for 9 fights and than try and reach a settlement before they took y'all to court in 2011 as Gomez has stated

I've never seen a work visa, but why would his trainer/manager have to sign one of those as well? That should've been a dead giveaway. Also, I would like to see if this contract has any logo from Allstar promotions because most state documents don't come with corporate logos.

Add all of that to the fact that GB has done the exact same thing before with Pacquioa and i'm apt to believe Allstar in this case

Probably had to wait and see if he was worth the money it would take to sue.

In an earlier report it was stated that when Canelo signed the alleged contract and a copy of Canelo's passport was shown along with a work visa that Star boxing got him. When was this visa gotten and the paperwork for it and does it match the dates of the signed contract? It is not like it would be a shock that a promoter would lie to a fighter if it served the promoters interests.
EXACTLY!!! If those dates match up All Star should be ***ed.

Not if he was mislead. Plus it was in a language he doesnt read or write in. I bet his GB contract was in both languages. And if the passport BS was done at the same time kind of fishy. We gonna find out real quick who is right...
