Eh he looked small at 130. I don't think his body frame will be good at 130+. In the Olympics he was smaller then all his opponents at the higher weight class he fought in, i think 132. He only re-hydrated to 137.

There will be no losers in that fight. Both fighters win, fans win, best vs best, and boxing historians 50 years from now will appreciate that the fight was made. Loma-Rigo HAS to happen for boxing history and so does Loma-Verdejo.

nah, they will appreciate the winner

I think 135 will be alright for Lomachenko but I don't see the rush as the class is coming up a bit but not quite ready yet.

            Exactly.

All those at 126 and 130 that want the greatness that Loma is chasing.....follow him to lightweight.

I'm pretty sure Gary Russell Jr. will follow him.

Yes, it's a pity.. but I think he can be good at 135 and even have a run at 140 if the money makes sense (kind of what floyd did in 154)

I think that Loma should stay at 130 and clean house.

                  Too many good opponents/opportunities.

The best idea would be to forget 126 and focus on 130..... try to bank 4/5 great wins before moving up. If some of the FW champs wanna come up, all the better.

He could move to 135 in a couple of years and clean house there as well before sneaking up to 140 to become a 4-div champ with a first-ballot career.

He could go down as one of the best amateurs EVER..... AND a HOF pro.
