That would be a dumb move. 135 is pretty weak.
If Loma wants to make more history it's better to clean up 126 and 130.
People will remember Loma cleaning up both stacked divisions. Not many will remember him capturing his third weight class title in the least amount of fights.

STAY AT 130 AND 126!!!! It would be dumb to move up when both divisions are this hot.

The money and the fan interest is in the higher weights so it's in his best interest to move up. I just hate that he's leaving these divisions with unfinished business. Just hopping weight classes and winning one alphabet title makes him no different from. Adrien Broner and Santa Cruz.

130 isn't hot. Loma easily beats Vargas, Pedraza and Corrallles.

Real fighters move up, Leonard, Duran and Hearns.

Hmm. I wonder if it'd just be for the one fight. I'd hate for him to abandon 26/30. He has some business to handle. I can see him beating any of the LW champs though.

What do people not understand? 126 and 130 are two of the best divisions in boxing. Loma is fortunate to be in those divisions.
Loma should clean up as much as possible then think about moving up.
It'll be dumb to just move up when the divisions are hot.
135 doesn't have anyone to offer. Top Rank won't put Verdejo in there with Loma and Felix is thinking about moving down anyway.
135 is one of the weakest divisions in boxing, while 126 and 130 are two of the best divisions!
If the best start fighting the best then there will be money. The fighters at 126 and 130 just have to start freaking fighting each other!!!!! If they want to make money.

You want to make more history Loma? Then clean up 126 and 130!!! It's that simple.

If they care about history they will find a way to make that Verdejo fight before he moves up. The problem with boxing these days is they always look for excuses not to make fights, instead of ways to make them. Yes Verdejo is naturally bigger but he made 135 last night, they're only 5 pounds apart, and Lomachenko is about to move up. Verdejo is actually more experienced than Lomachenko in the pros so that's no excuse either.

The purses might not be huge since they're still building their names, but if they don't fight now, they will be too far apart in weight in the future.

If they really care about history, they'll make Lomachenko-Rigo at 128 next, then Lomachenko-Verdejo next year in Verdejo's last fight before he moves up. If they can get Lomachenko-Walters at 130 or 135 as Lomachenko's get wet fight at 135, that would be great too.

But those are the fights boxing historians will look back on and ask why they never happened. Those are the fights that will be important to boxing history. Verdejo may be bigger than Lomachenko, but Lomachenko has great defense and boxing skills, so it's not impossible for him to win. I really want to see that fight.
