the closet Ali haters really came out after his death on this board

Frazier called him Clay, thats worst than uncle tom.like joe frazier, the guy he called a gorilla after he helped him get his boxing license? that white guy
?
joe frazier hated ali's guts, man. called him an uncle tom, and frazier was just as black as ali was, and his experience growing up as a f#cking share cropper was just as black as ali's experience growing up middle class.
if you don't know about the bad that came with the good, you don't know the whole ali story. ali was a real dude, not some mythical figure. you need to know the whole story.Comment

The same people I was talking about leaked in his threadI simply cant understand how you can not respect Muhammad Ali after what he did and who he was - A true figure head of boxing and an icon in terms of his roles in humanity. To those posters I would say...
Disagree with him? Ok, we all have opinions. Dislike? Also OK, we all have that choice. Disrespect? Not OK...Is this not the sport you love? How can you not respect a man who is arguably the most key face of it over all time and therefore have the maturity to hold your tongue out of respect of his passing?
I truly believe that those people that showed their disrespect and ignorance in the days after his passing are either trolling and just want to kick up some fuss...Or fanboys that are only interested in this generation/only like a few of the main names and don't appreciate the history and therefore don't understand the impact of Ali.
Either that or they are just bitter/hateful people in general day to day life.
Like/Dislike...Agree with/Disagree with...He was (and will still be for as long as we can guess) the most iconic man to ever take part in this sport we all claim to love and follow daily. He went beyond the pinnacle of this game and the man has died...Weather you love him/hate him/are indifferent...Recognise who he actually is and was - Show some respect.
Everybody has an opinion...just thought on a boxing site, people would be more wise than their words
We all troll, bicker back n forth now and then but we literally lost the face of our sport
Personally Ali was one of my lifetime heroes
Flawed, human, passionate, charismatic, could kick your azz n take your girl
Sure he said some things people don't like that's life
Seeing all the crazy alts and so called boxing fans can't even respect the greatest?

You saw what you saw....I saw what I saw...obviously..it is what it is....either way people should be more respectful.... Screw all the trolling @ the momentyou put people in your ignore list? come on man, all your threads are alike, you are always bitching about someone not getting enough credit or someone getting too much credit. NATAS is right, there were probably a few trolls doing what they usually do, and you make a big deal out of it. i really don't recall any negative comment around about ali's passing
We lost the face of our sport...we're supposed to be boxing fans right?
If you don't like my threads, my posts, don't read em...don't post in them

Exactly man...Everybody does and says things are controversial at times and many of us have beliefs/ideas on life etc that other men would question to no end...It is life and that is how people are.The same people I was talking about leaked in his thread

I could say it all day - like him as a boxer or not/like him as a man or not - he was great at both...Considering we are all fans of the same sport and he was the ultimate icon of that sport, you would think that on the eve of his passing and the days after, that we could all at least see that.
The paying of respect costs us all nothing, and it has nothing to do with the liking or disliking of someone. Muhammad Ali may not have been your guy, but he was great at what he stood for in humanity and he was great at what he stood for in the ring, that much is a fact...His passing deserves a respectful acknowledgement no matter what you personal opinion is.Comment

i consider the above the best post in this thread so far..........Exactly man...Everybody does and says things are controversial at times and many of us have beliefs/ideas on life etc that other men would question to no end...It is life and that is how people are.

Bruh, you don't have to defend Ali. His impact and what he accomplished on this planet will live forever.I dont get what people are upset about
Ali was a product of his time, his environment and was a young man.
You learn a lot over the span of a lifetime.
He was in an era where you couldnt eat, ****, talk to who you wanted to in the USA yet you can fight their wars or represent them in the olympics
My mom was born in the 50s and endured a lot of the bigotry of the time. It took her years to soften her feelings towards the police, the government and white people. She grew up in segregated alabama. She remembers going to the back of buses, restaurants, coloreds only signs, the whole 9 yards.
Growing up in a military town, and me and my siblings having multi-racial groups of friends helped soften her feelings.
as a child I agreed with his position. Why fight overseas when we have a war going on in our own country.
I dont agree with some of the things he said but most of them he backed up with experience.
Ali was human, he made mistakes but he became a hero of mine because he stood by his principles
How many people do you know that will jeopardize their livelihood, ability to make money, to stand by their morals? I dont know many. if you hold a gun to most peoples head or tell them all your earnings are gone if you dont denounce your God, they'd happily jump ship as long as they can keep their money
Ali was a stand up guy, made his mistakes and I hope he can rest in peace now.
And there's not a dayum thing these haters can do to change that.Comment
