  • the closet Ali haters really came out after his death on this board

I dont get what people are upset about

Ali was a product of his time, his environment and was a young man.

You learn a lot over the span of a lifetime.

He was in an era where you couldnt eat, ****, talk to who you wanted to in the USA yet you can fight their wars or represent them in the olympics

My mom was born in the 50s and endured a lot of the bigotry of the time. It took her years to soften her feelings towards the police, the government and white people. She grew up in segregated alabama. She remembers going to the back of buses, restaurants, coloreds only signs, the whole 9 yards.

Growing up in a military town, and me and my siblings having multi-racial groups of friends helped soften her feelings.

as a child I agreed with his position. Why fight overseas when we have a war going on in our own country.

I dont agree with some of the things he said but most of them he backed up with experience.

Ali was human, he made mistakes but he became a hero of mine because he stood by his principles

How many people do you know that will jeopardize their livelihood, ability to make money, to stand by their morals? I dont know many. if you hold a gun to most peoples head or tell them all your earnings are gone if you dont denounce your God, they'd happily jump ship as long as they can keep their money

Ali was a stand up guy, made his mistakes and I hope he can rest in peace now.

You have to be vile at heart to have any sort of hate towards Ali

I've seen a few classless ******s on twitter talking **** about him, especially that tramp Piers Morgan

Ali made me and every other black person on the planet proud. Haters are probably all white, as every black person understands the importance of what Ali stood for. White people will never understand that struggle, as their story is pretty much the opposite of the black story. They invade, we get invaded. They enslave, we get inslaved. They kill, we get killed. They look down, we get looked on. In the ring, however, it's all black and the racists can't stand the embarassment of Ali, a black man who is even ******, being considered the best boxer ever.

For some reason, white people in America just can't box, unlike the European white people such as the Klitschkos, Calzaghe and Froch. For that reason, it probably gave them some kind of inferiorty complex to see Ali shine.

From what I have seen, 95% of every word uttered since Ali's passing has been nothing but praise. Now if you go to the ytbc, you will see certain fans of a certain fighter try to **** all over Ali and his daughter. Calling then c**ns etc.

It is ridiculous how some fan boys, whether it be Floyd fans defending his TBE agenda, or white power fans trying to rain down on his legacy. Both are pathetic and need help. Serious help.

I may not of liked some of the things he did in life but in pales in comparison with the good things. Let the guy rest in peace.

You're a bit too white to call yourself black, boy. As I said, Ali made every black person on earth feel proud.

Is there a black fighter you don't want to make a victim and defend?

Too white? Tell that to the police. A shame, black people talk about coming together then you get idiots like you who say dumb crap like that. SMH. Ali was light skinned, guess he was too white as well
