It was the same 2-3 people trolling every thread. That's about all I saw that was disrespectful. Some people talked about his darker moments, too, but there's nothing wrong with that.

most likely. maybe people bringing up the way he treated frazier and other political stuff they might not agree. ali was very polarizing figure

Ali made me and every other black person on the planet proud. Haters are probably all white, as every black person understands the importance of what Ali stood for. White people will never understand that struggle, as their story is pretty much the opposite of the black story. They invade, we get invaded. They enslave, we get inslaved. They kill, we get killed. They look down, we get looked on. In the ring, however, it's all black and the racists can't stand the embarassment of Ali, a black man who is even ******, being considered the best boxer ever.

For some reason, white people in America just can't box, unlike the European white people such as the Klitschkos, Calzaghe and Froch. For that reason, it probably gave them some kind of inferiorty complex to see Ali shine.

joe frazier hated ali's guts, man. called him an uncle tom, and frazier was just as black as ali was, and his experience growing up as a f#cking share cropper was just as black as ali's experience growing up middle class.

if you don't know about the bad that came with the good, you don't know the whole ali story. ali was a real dude, not some mythical figure. you need to know the whole story.

imo he was a product of his time.....how would you feel if you can fight in the army and represent your country in the olympics but you cant eat where you want, live where you want, get beaten up by police or possibly lynched for dating or looking at a white woman....the world was ****ed up then and not much has changed. you could be outwardly a bigot then, it was acceptable

I simply cant understand how you can not respect Muhammad Ali after what he did and who he was - A true figure head of boxing and an icon in terms of his roles in humanity. To those posters I would say...

Disagree with him? Ok, we all have opinions. Dislike? Also OK, we all have that choice. Disrespect? Not OK...Is this not the sport you love? How can you not respect a man who is arguably the most key face of it over all time and therefore have the maturity to hold your tongue out of respect of his passing?

I truly believe that those people that showed their disrespect and ignorance in the days after his passing are either trolling and just want to kick up some fuss...Or fanboys that are only interested in this generation/only like a few of the main names and don't appreciate the history and therefore don't understand the impact of Ali.

Either that or they are just bitter/hateful people in general day to day life.

Like/Dislike...Agree with/Disagree with...He was (and will still be for as long as we can guess) the most iconic man to ever take part in this sport we all claim to love and follow daily. He went beyond the pinnacle of this game and the man has died...Weather you love him/hate him/are indifferent...Recognise who he actually is and was - Show some respect.

Ali early on didnt say anything different than Malcolm x didnt say. They both felt the same but they changed their way and left nation of islam. Tbh if i was a blakc man in the 50s, 60s, and 90% of white people i knew were bad to me, i could see why. but it doesnt matter cuz Ali left the nation in 1975
