I'm not backing anyone up, this is a bad situation.

Gamboa is my favourite fighter, I watched his career ruined by a contract dispute with his promoter followed by the signing of a bad contract with a new promoter. Rigondeaux has a hard time securing good fights (or a good promoter) because he's still tied into a bad contract with Caribe promotions. Mikey Garcia just lost 2 years of his prime due to a contract problem with his promoter.

Oscar very much appears to have snaked his way into promoting Canelo. The hope is that he can pay them what they are owed and move on, as opposed to it costing Canelo years.
