Comments Thread For: Liam Smith Warns Canelo: I'm a Big 154, Khan Was Too Small!

LIAM SMITH will prove size does matter if he gets a crack at Saul Canelo' Alvarez. The Liverpool light-middleweight stopped Predrag Radosevic in the second round of his WBO title defence at the Echo Arena on Saturday.

So that's what he means by being big in your weight class, you go out of your way to make weight and then rehydrate to 2 classes above you..

So yeah Liam Smith is a big Jr MW and Canelo is a big MW..

      canelo is a f#cking middleweight.

if he fights this dude, who i literally can't even distinguish from his brothers and who is a weight class smaller than canelo, and who is a good sized MW and comes into the ring 170 plus, i'm boycotting.

this just has to stop. canelo's too busy to make a fight with golvokin, but he's rearing to go for liam smith ?

sheesh. just admit that you've created a weight class so you can defend the 160 lb lineage, the most important title in boxing other than the HW title for many generations, against f#cking JMWs and even F#cking WWs. pathetic.

Liam's probably lucky the WBO skipped Austin Trout so he could pick up his title.

"Cowardo" is trying to redirect everybody into thinking that he's a man by accepting the challenge of Smith rather than Golovkin. Who cares what size Smith is? This is not the fight that everybody wants to see.

Actually Smith is not talking his way into the fight, at least according to Liam Smith:

                June 2, 2016:

Smith then goes on to reveal that he's received an offer to face Canelo Alvarez, a fight that would have him put his belt on the line against the popular Mexican fighter who recently conceded his WBC middleweight title to Gennady Golovkin.

"I've been offered the Canelo fight but I haven't been told too much about it," he said. "It would be for my title because he has given up his (WBC) belt at 160 and would be moving back down to 154 pounds.

"My team is keeping things quiet right now because it's important that my mind is on the job that's in front of me. I don't like talking about future fights and we're just being professional."

Obviously Smith being offered a Canelo Alvarez fight is even more evidence that the much anticipated fight between Canelo and Gennady Golovkin is no closer to being realized, and that it pretty clearly won't be happening next at the very least.

WBO junior middleweight titlist Liam Smith claims that he’s been offered a fight with Canelo Alvarez although he’s fully focused on this Saturday’s fight with Predrag Radosevic.

you're probably not particularly bright, and cowardly. you've got to be cowardly to continue to identify with canelo. and the dumb part i surmised from the lack of content in your post.

Avoid GGG. Drop down 1lb. Fight the easiest title holder in that division. A guy who got the title because of Andrade's shenanigans.

If he's fighting at 154 his next fight do you guys really believe he's moving up to 160 to face GGG in May?
